Have a good Tuesday. Just been listening to Spotify and watching YouTube all night. Some friends called me at 3AM looking for some alcohol so I traded off some hombrew 16% meads for some other fun stuff. I have to make some more mead now as I ran out. They only stayed for a few minutes. Only gaming to do for the rest of the day.

Saugatuck BBA Imperial Neapolitan Milk Stout. Still tasting awesome. Aromas and flavors of big milk chocolate, cocoa, juicy strawberries, fruit skin/seed, vanilla, cream, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, bourbon, coconut, toasted oak, and dark/brown bread; with light notes of licorice, molasses, coffee, cherry, dark fruit, smoke, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Very mild herbal/roast bitterness, berry tang/tartness, and bourbon/oak spiciness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and full body; very creamy, silky, velvety, rich mouthfeel. Light slickness, sticky hop, chalky roast, oak tannins, and berry tang/acidity. Lightly increasing lingering bitter/tangy/tannic dryness, no cloying. Minimal warming 10.5%, no barrel booze. Was expecting a bit more out of it, but enjoyed it just as much as the base beer. Awesome balance of rich malts, strawberries, vanilla, and lactose; with nice bourbon barrel presence/integration. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. Always love their BBA series, but most have been better than this.

Been listening to the first 3 Rhapsody albums all night.

Good day BAs! A rainy morning. Yesterday the state began opening some of the liquor stores for on-line sales and pickup. I figured since it was the first day, it'd be a Mongolian cluster-fuck so I decided to wait until later in the week (today) to call. Between 0900 and 1000 yesterday they had 3, count em, 3 calls. So when I call at 0900 today I won't be able to get through until after 8 May when we may reopen the state. Oh well.

    Today's New Breakfast Beer:

Not bad. To my surprise, when entering this into my data base, I found I've only rated five Rogue beers, despite Mrs. Lizard and I staying at Rogue in Newport for two nights.

Whiskey is from an infinity bottle I've been working on for almost a year. Kostriker is 14 months old, but that's the risk of curbside. Cheers all and enjoy your Tuesday!

Bell's Two Hearted. Fantastic as always. Aromas and flavors of huge ruby red grapefruit, mandarin orange, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, honeydew melon, citrus peel/zest, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate honey, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, light caramel/nutty malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation, medium-plus body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced creamy/bready/grainy malts, sticky hops, and light resin/rinds in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing lingering bitter dryness, no cloying/astringent. Very smooth/soft, not aggressive, minimal warming 7%. Amazing Centennial showcase as expected. Very juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a nice sized balancing bready Vienna/pale malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. Spot on Midwest style IPA. Prefer the Founders Centennial more, but love both. Just as impressive as the Double as well. Will keep it in the fridge more often!

Very tasty! Lots of lime on the nose, strawberry more as it warms. Definitely getting fruit-by-the-foot vibes. Good tartness, strawberry much more prominent on the palate. Super refreshing. Support local!!
