Have a good hump day, been up all night getting games. Bioshock nostalgia hit me randomly early last night, and I decided to find the Infinite game as I never played it. One of my friends informed me that humble bundle had one going for 2K games, so I got all this for $25:

The Darkness II, Sid Meiers Pirates, Carnival Games® VR, Spec Ops The Line, The Golf Club™ 2019, BioShock The Collection(all 3+DLC), Civilization III, NBA 2K Playgrounds 2, NBA 2K20, WWE 2K20, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, Borderlands GOTY Enhanced, Borderlands: The Handsome Collection.

So all that extra stuff for free, when all I wanted was one game. All the sports stuff will probably just sit on my Steam account because I don’t like them. The WWE might be worth a look though. Wanted to do a lot of the other FPS stuff so that’s great. I even get to revisit the other 2 Bioshock as remastered versions. I finished the 1st on PC in 2008, and about halfway through the 2nd on 360 in 2012.

I am hooked on the game instantly now, love the retro futurism of the game that is the same as the rest of the series. Amazing music pairing with the act ion, and they make it very cinematic at objective points in the story. One of the best games I’ve ever played. I have a bad habit of not completing games, because I eventually get stuck somewhere and give up after a few tries; so I will have to work harder on them.

Big Lake Alien Rabbit. Awesome NEDIPA. Lasting thick head retention/soapy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, red apple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, green pepper, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky, and fairly sticky/resinous/rindy mouthfeel. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Minimal warming 9%. Awesome Citra, Cascade, Ekuanot, Bravo, and Idaho Gem hop hash profile. Very juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a nice sized wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. Glad I got the 4 pack as usual. Very well executed.

    Cheers

    Arguably their best song.

Good day BAs! Woke up this AM to a dusting of snow on the roofs and rarely on the ground - kind of a late spring but not that unusual in the neck of the woods - it snowed all day yesterday but none stuck until after sunset. Today's New Breakfast Beer:

Very nice malty IPA, but the advertised grapefruit is lacking.

[IMG] Themisto to start this cold and windy April 22nd. A layer of snow over night and 30 degrees with 20 mile an hour wind gusts. Awesome day to have to put garbage and recycle out. Can see beer cans being blown all over the place. Cheers all.

General rule of thumb is to make sure and explore everywhere on the map as you go through the game. Sometimes because I want achievements, and other times it just gets you more money, ammo, guns, armor, etc. I'm still going through this Bioshock Infinite story. I have an NPC with me now that is part of the story, and they can lock pick rooms to loot shit lol. This whole game runs like a movie and I love it.

Founders Blushing Monk. Amazing as always. Aromas and flavors of big juicy/tart/tangy red raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, raisin, red grape, plum, pear, red apple, pepper, candi sugar, and toasted bread; with some herbal hops and yeast earthiness. Touch of banana/clove. Balanced fruit tartness and peppery yeast spice on the finish against malt sweetness. Medium carbonation/body, and fairly crisp finishing. Some bready/grainy creaminess, fruit tannins, and lightly slick/syrupy in the mouthfeel. Good dryness from fruit acidity and yeast spice; never too sweet. Very drinkable, minimal warming 9.2%. This shows great balance of Belgian yeast character, without just being a straight over the top fruit beer. Love Rubaeus too, this is basically just the imperial Belgian version. One of my favorite fruit beers of all time. I wouldn’t mind Cerise coming back either. Super jammy. Still have plenty left. Need to review the new Grapefruit Mas Agave soon, I have a lot of the regular right now.

I love the solos in this song so much. The band should just be named Rhapsody of Arpeggios.

Thanks for kicking things off Superspak! Founders Blushing Monk is one of my old time favorite pours. I'm hitting stouts now to take advantage of the cold weather while clearing out the cellar, but will get around to my Blushing Monk bottles purchased last year as the weather warms.

Speaking of favorites, not sure how I went through life without having Orin by Half Acre, but I will not pass on this release in the future. I popped out a 2017 bottle today, and it was incredible.

I posted a review of the beer in the Cellar Review thread. I don't have review notes from a prior pour, so not sure if the aging changed or improved, but this is one of my highest rated beers of all time (4.75, 4.5, 5.0, 4.75, 4.75), and I look forward to trying this fresh later this year to compare.

I hope all of you have as good of a Beer Wednesday as I have to this point. May try a second beer later today, but not sure if I can find one to measure up to this outstanding Half Acre pour. Will hit up my local beer store later this morning for several offerings including my highly anticipated first pour of 3 Floyds Dreadnaught before the rain comes.

Some morning juice, TOME, trying to vary my beer pics to do some oblique shots once in a while. HA TOME is really growing on me as a new addition to the HA line-up. Just a tad richer than regular Daisy - has some of the 'rawness' of their usual pales, murky sure, but there is a citric density and flavor profile that's pretty compelling. Granted - what's challenging about the murky-hazies is that it's harder to discern layers or complexity in the brew - but I like that it finishes dry and not sweet.
    Cheers!
Hope you have a great Wednesday. Let's see - oh right, your gratuitous kitten shot of the day.

Hank doesn't seem too impressed with this beer, which is OK with me. I didn't want to share it anyway.

Well, started by trying to do some morning work while listening to John Coltraine, and noticed the light dancing on the wall. Maybe they traveled here from the front porch of @LarryV :

Then, since work wasn't going well, decided to head out for a walk a little early, and a tad chilly. Glad we did, since we got to see this fine specimen. Can't believe he went about his meal with us sitting there about 10 feet away. I guess that is enough for social distancing:

Then home again to crack open this fine specimen:

Bioshock 2 was a disappointment compared to Bioshock, but Infinite is more of a return to form and the storytelling is much closer to being on the same level that the original was. Have fun with those Blue Ribbon Challenges.
