Need feedback on this situation

    It is your decision, because it is based on how you perceived the situation.
    If I was put in the same place as you it would be neutral at best because I would not like the information provided in this thread to go unnoticed by people setting up trades with this BA in the future.

    That is for you to decide... If the package was lost in transit that definitely sucks for both parties. I have seen it happen he should be able to provide a tracking number though that will back his case up.

    If it were me I would do everything I could to replace the original bottle. This seems feasible in this case that bottle isn't a whale by any means. If I couldn't replace the original bottle I would do the best I could and ensure you were happy with the substitute.

    It is worth mentioning the details of the leaky bottle/suspect packaging if that is the case for future traders reference.

    He said he couldn't replace the original bottle which is understandable. I agreed on a replacement but then was sent something else. What bothers me is that he had his assistant pack that 2nd box and blamed them for why I got the wrong bottle.

    You’re call on the feedback. Like others have said, neutral at best. However, it should be noted of this scenario/thread since even neutral leaves his reputation percentage at 100%. The unfortunate aspect of the 3 feedback options.

    I’m still suspect if he ever had the bottle in the first place to trade with you. We’ll never know since that box got lost. However, he still implied there were places with plenty, etc., but maybe he’s just bs’n on that too.

    Sucks that you've been given the run-around from this guy, but can we all agree that the real victim here is this guy's assistant who is being tasked with packing his beer boxes for him?

    Right? This was kind of the part that bothered me. If you're busy and get ship right away I get it but you trade with someone you assume they're the one doing work not some disinterested 3rd party.

    I was hoping he would make it right and send you the Hypersmash Hydra since that's not going to happen send me a BM with your address.

    I can't commit to when but I have 2 Hydra's coming and I will send one to you after I ask my assistant (wife) to package it and she promptly slaps me in the face at which point I will pack it myself.

    You guys are all much more practiced traders than I am (or ever want to be), but... an assistant packs his boxes for him? I can't even begin to imagine a scenario where I would allow something like that.

    In any event, as others have already suggested, the type of feedback you choose to leave is entirely up to you. In the end, it sounds like you were ultimately satisfied with the beer you received (though you had to do an inordinate amount of screwing around to get it), which is always the primary focus in these situations. I certainly wouldn't leave bad feedback, but whatever sort of feedback you choose to leave, I would also encourage you to provide a brief discussion of what transpired in this case.

    Glad to hear things worked out in the end for you.

    What does he mean by make it right? Doesn’t sound like the situation is right yet, and I call bs he doesn’t have a lot of bottles. I think he does have Hydra and Doesn’t want to send one now. He mentioned it on multiple posts not just one.

    Tag him here so he can explain situation himself.... we all know anyway....is he aware of this thread? He needs to be tagged at this point even if it doesn’t result in a BT thread.

    also, can you share the tracking number for everyone here of the “lost” box

    This is spot on for me. I would not have someone else pack up a box I am responsible for - I want that onus to fall on me.

    I thought you guys might get a kick out of his response when I confronted him about how he should've packed the box instead of having his assistant do it.

    "You right I should have packed the box myself, but usually my assistant does a great job. I guess it is my fault for hiring a young instagram model lol... She does make mistakes often, but man she really is easy on the eyes. Ohh and she also said she couldn't find the usps boxes so she re-used one of the boxes I got beer in recently lol.. Now I get what you mean, by the packing. Either way I'll get your bottle back and return you beer. Based on the forum post you don't seem happy so like I said I wouldn't feel right drinking your beer."
