Man this keeps on getting better and better.

    @LGHT
You honestly think you have done nothing wrong here? The best thing imo is make things right with jag. You had a chance to make things right and get away with out giving up a HH and jag was willing to pay for the shipping for other bottles and you still couldn’t do that right. How many chances do you think you deserve?

Guys there is a reason this dude is 1 of only 2 people on here who I have blocked. Based on many previous posts, he’s not a beer trader. He’s a beer commodities broker.

Hydra is easy enough to come by in SoCal that if dude was a beer trader, he would have acquired another one using his list of 100 tradable bottles.

Enough. This thread is just turning into a name calling dialogue at this point, and IMO no longer serves any useful purpose.

@Jag237. Are you satisfied with how this has played out now? Assuming what @LGHT has said is accurate with respect to what he plans to send you, are you fine with that?

From a Bad Trader standpoint, I don't feel @LGHT's actions qualify. Yes, losing one box in the mail and then sending a second box with a leaky bottle sounds shaky, but at least it sounds like he's now taken responsibility for what transpired and he's doing his best to make amends. Apparently, to the satisfaction of the OP (at least that's the impression I have from his most recent posts). Also, unlike most BT threads I've read over, the perpetrator in this case has generally stayed in contact with the OP; hasn't ghosted him or tried to shift the blame; and has even participated in this thread and attempted to explain his actions. IMHO, that's to his credit, regardless of some of the things he may have said and done elsewhere.

@Jag237. I'll leave this thread open until you tell me you feel it's appropriate to close it. In other words, I'll leave it open until you've been made whole or until you feel you've received sufficient guarantees from @LGHT that you're no longer worried about getting the beer you were promised.

To stay on topic, box one disappeared. In my experience with USPS they don’t actually disappear, something breaks and the leak is so bad they can’t move the box.

Box 2 not only had a leak, it was not the agreed upon bottle. So IMO this guy is still up for being a possible bad trader, until box 3 arrives with the correct bottle. I don’t think a good trader just sends anything he likes as long as it’s from the same brewery.

Either way it seems like whoever is packing these boxes is doing a bang up job.

Thanks, John. I have to respectfully disagree on a few points. He did shift blame to someone else, his assistant for a) packing the wrong bottle b) packing the box poorly. If I have someone else take care of the key parts of a trade, am I not responsible? Jag entered into a trade with Light, not his assistant.

Sure he didn't ghost him, but again, seems like all this communication started rolling once Jag made him aware of this. Then Light put it on Jag as being upset and felt like he "lost the trade."

Please don't give him too much credit. He seems to have lied repeatedly. I also wonder how Light would have treated Jag if this didn't come to the surface and Jag just took it. Light strikes me as someone who would have no problem taking advantage of someone else in trading.

While it might be a minor detail he posted publicly saying Hypersmash was the best Bottle Logic beer he's had to date while telling me in a private message that he liked Cryo better. I know that may not be super important but it doesn't help his credibility.

It wasn't just a leaky bottle. It was the wrong bottle that he had someone else pack for him. I also found out that he was still in possession of multiple Hypersmash bottles that he had proxied for his brother. He said those weren't his to trade but since there were multiples I thought maybe he could have used one of those make the original trade right but I could be wrong.

He told me he'd send me a Cryo but I can't possibly feel like things have ultimately been made right until I'm in possession of one of the two BL beers that have beem offered.

He has failed to deliver on his promised bottles - how is that not the very definition of a bad trader? His communication (which has been consistent, and terrible) isn't relevant.

Until the OP is satisfied with the outcome of this trade, this should be moved to the BT forum and left open.

Understood. How do you want to proceed? He says he doesn't have any Hypesmash for trade at this point. Based on some of the commentary in this thread, it sounds like this should be a beer he could obtain without much difficulty, but for whatever reason, it sounds like he's unable to come up with a bottle for you.

According to his post, he's going to send you back one of the bottles you sent him, along with a bottle of the cryo. He also stated he's going to send you a refund for the purchase price of the other bottle you sent him (that he drank). Does that sound reasonable to you?

I can certainly understand you wanting to wait until you've actually received all those items from @LGHT. Once that happens though, will you be satisfied, or is there something further you feel he's obligated to do for you.

I'm not sure whether to put any stock into it, but he also stated very clearly that he had some bottles of Hydra left after telling @jag5859 that he did not have any Hydra to make him whole. Not intending to beat a dead horse, but if I were Jag I would definitely want that addressed, if it turns out @LGHT isn't going to send what he agreed to.

Yeah if he follows through with his most recent offer then I suppose I'd be satisfied but I don't quite feel comfortable leaving positive feedback after all this.

I'm not going to address the allegations of lies about beers he had or didn't have in his possession, or some of the other claims regarding his behavior in this thread. However, this is my interpretation of what transpired.

Both parties agreed to trade certain bottles, and it sounds like they both shipped around the same time. At some point the OP contacted @LGHT and informed him he hadn't gotten his box yet. Based on information supplied by the OP, it sounds like the USPS somehow lost the box. Upon being notified of this, it sounds like @LGHT immediately agreed to send another box with different beers. Unfortunately, when the box arrived, one of the beers wasn't what was promised and it was leaking. My feeling is that the reason this happened is irrelevant. Regardless of the reason, @LGHT still owed the OP another bottle. According to the OP, he was supposed to receive a Cryopreservation, but instead received a leaking bottle of concentrated solution. According to the OP, @LGHT subsequently did agree to "make it right." The only other information I can see about this latest permutation, is in a subsequent post from @LGHT. He pointed out the following:

"4. Obviously he is upset and felt like he loss on the trade so I replied with:

"If you are feeling like you lost on the trade I would be more than happy sending a 5th bottle and your original bottle back. My apologies again, but I drank 1 of the bottles already, but I would be more than happy to send the 2nd back with the cryo and refund you for the first. Like I said it's only beer so let me know if that works for you and if you are upset please give me a call on my cell."

    5. So I get another message saying:
"You don't really have to go through all that. I kind of just want the Cryo that was offered and for you to pack the box instead of pawning it off on someone that I have no communication with. If that means it takes a few extra days I'm fine with that."

Since he's upset that I had my assistant pack the box and she screwed it up I agreed to send him the Cryo along with his original veil bottle he sent back. The box will be going out shortly."

So assuming this is accurate, the OP will now get the promised second replacement bottle, along with one of the bottles he originally sent to @LGHT, along with possibly a refund for the bottle @LGHT drank.

What am I not seeing? What is there about @LGHT's actions that you feel is deserving of a BT thread?

This isn’t exactly on topic but it is Hypermash. Not hypersmash. Though hypersmash is funnier. I just had to say it once.
