Not a lot going on as far as announcements go, looks like Short's has kind of abandoned the Beer Announcements on the website (still not a mention of Hopstache) or Twitter. The only things being updated are Facebook and Instagram, so if you're looking for the latest I'd check there first if you have accounts.

Here's a giant round-up of new beer, speculation, and pub updates.

Looks like Soft Parade Shandy is going to hit shelves soon:

Great Shandy, and way too easy to drink. Available April till August in the Great Lakes area.

Speaking of shandies, here comes some speculation. Short's got label approvals in the past month for:

Rosie, FKA Rosie Palmer, and my favorite shandy Short's has produced.

Power of Love, which has seen some pretty regular releases:

And not a shandy, but still fruity and Summery: Shortsicle. I remember when this one launched at the pub and was a cream ale brewed with orange and vanilla served on Nitro. They've since changed it up a bit.

Notice the tag? "Est. 2015. Elevate don't imitate". A reference to Creamsicles or possibly OddSide's Fruitsicle line?

Also, a couple of label approvals for 22 oz bottles. Keep eyes out for these available at S-Mart:

Hammer Jack is quite nice but I'd like to get my hands on some BBA Moher Stout. I kind of wish Moher would show back up on St Pat's again.

Usually the monthly Short's Report lists all the events happening by region. Of course, there's no community events happening these days, but it doesn't mean the folks at Short's are sitting around doing nothing.

Details below, but the TL;DR is Short's is delivering food and beer to the 49615 zip code, and beer delivery to Antrim, Kalkaska, and Grand Traverse counties. Also, Short's will provide food to folks in need who can't afford it in Antrim.

Lastly, you can pick up some Pub Life shirts and all proceeds go to Short's staff emergency fund. Link above.

Hey hey Short's fans, looks like there's a new brew on its way to keep us company while under quarantine. From Short's Facebook feed:

Sounds awesome, and an ale that's made to barrel age. This one is limited to Michigan only, so look for it around the Mitten.

On a personal note, my wife and I won tickets to the Anni Party in October. So if any other BAs are heading to Bellaire, I'll see you there!

Nieman's in Clarkson still has 16 Hoppy Holidays packs (and a lot of other old beers)

    Cant wait to try this.

Also, I have yet to make it to an Anni party since it always falls on the better halfs birthday weekend, but now that it falls on my birthday week I think I'll actually be able to make it. We are just waiting on the covid-19 situation to become more clear before purchasing tickets.

Hey hey, BAs! Looks like we've got a new brew headed to shelves in Michigan. This one's an old friend.

Looks like Short's skipped over the Sweet Anni 16 release, although it's still on the schedule. My guess is they'll postpone it until the Anni Party in October.

Also wanted to give a shout out to to fellow BA @Cotton_27 who got a shout-out on the Short's Facebook feed for his awesome collection of bottles.

If you've ventured out from home, has anyone seeing Whiskey Sour yet?

I snagged whiskey sour, better as it warmed.

It's showed up at a couple places near me: Wine Barrel and Wine Palace in Livonia and, Busch's in Plymouth. It's a pretty sour one, the emphasis is really on the sour. I don't know if Short's has dropped the the Salvacious Planemo branding, but this one would fit right in. The lemon is more pronounced than the cherry, which doesn't show up until the glass warms a bit.
It's fine, but unfortunately I prefer tart - like with a Gose - rather than sour-sour.

I just saw the facebook post. Nice!! You've got me beat. I think I have around 110 but I haven't saved any new ones in the past couple years.

I am a superfan to say the least, I should probably work for Shorts! I am an unpaid beer liberator for them. I've turned tons of people into Shorts fans.

I think I'm up around 200. Now just got to build more shelving since they are doubled up and I cant see the older ones in the back.

My personal favorite of the bunch is Neon Snowsuit. Just wish I saved a Black Diamond bottle from way back.

Wow, that takes me way back. Black Diamond, Gingersnap, Snow Wheat, and Mystery Stout if memory serves. I remember really liking Mystery Stout and never saw it again. I was still a lurker in this site back then.

My list says that I have a Black Diamond although I don't recall drinking that beer. It must go "way back" as you say. I made a mistake when I didn't create a 'collected date' in my spreadsheet. I don't know which bottle was first in my Short's collection.

If you'd like I can send you my list of Short's bottles and you can reconcile it against yours, and you're welcome to have all that you are missing. PM me if you are interested, or send an address and I'll gift you just the Black Diamond.

I loved Black Diamond and Gingersnap. Reading the lost few posts makes me miss Short's brews from years past. ... I have resigned myself to the idea that I will probably never have Peaches & Cream.

I've found emailing them at [email protected] has worked for getting beers back on the schedule.

By the way, if you have instagram, Joe Short is putting on a live show this afternoon at five to sample Whiskey Sour.

Gingersnap was great, would also enjoy Peaches and Cream again. I would email but there are so many I want to see bottled again, I dont know where I'd begin!
