This batch of Cosmic Fountain was great. Near-perfect NE IPA vibes...soft mouthfeel, citrus fruit prominence and a hint of bite without any bitterness.

I liked the first batch, but this one was even better.

    Huzzah!

I swear to god that every time I’m like “ok I’m sitting this weeks release out”, some mofo on here says how awesome something is. Guess I’m looking for some Fountain now.

Because one tells consumers they do, the other doesn't?

I haven’t held a can of Le Jus can in a while, does it have the word lactose on it?

It's one beer. It's basically in 2/3 of every beer HB puts out.

Idk about the can, but lactose is in the description on untappd and the alarmist website

If it’s not on the can, it doesn’t count.

They also don’t list the citra/mosaic hops on the label...those don’t count either I guess

I think when people are holding a can of IPA, they know hops are in it. Could be a stretch.

Maybe with NEIPAs since it’s often the same recipe with different hops, but I’d say most traditional or west coast IPAs do not typically list that.

I was just saying that people know beer has hops, they don’t necessarily know if it contains lactose. It’s important for the consumer to know about the lactose in the can, which is what beardown was saying. Was just sarcastically chiming in on the “not on the can doesn’t count” convo.

You know when you make a bad decision and you should know better and then have no one else to blame? That was me last night. For the first time in what has to be at least a year, I bought a HB IPA. I opened Normalize last night and realized after one sip that these are still the same sweet sugar bombs that I do not like. Now I have to give the remaining three to my friend who loves this style of the NE IPA. His gain, my loss...

I've done this many times. Its unfortunate that we can't get more fresh west coast IPA with different hop combos.

I actually got Normalize as well after having a bit of a break from Hop Butcher. I thought it would be more up my alley because some people reported pine notes on it. But man, it was incredibly sweet and not super enjoyable.
