    Ok, I squeezed a Monumental IPA in between my German beers

    The GF just told me that this was also World Book Day. Maybe next year, @LeperJim can reboot BBB with a German Booknotes and Beers version. Though I can't read German, and the only German book I can think of is...

    Ok, German Beers, Beer Advocates, and Booknotes might be better marketing.

    I'm thinking of writing a book based on some pictures I recently took. Working title is The "Fences" of Fairfax County. It's no Bridges of Madison County. Yet.

    We're not sure what these two-post fences are for, but maybe they're the forest equivalent of those "Caution: Falling Rocks" signs, except for trees.

    Soft and pale yellow body, murky; nice lasting head, dense, creamy and white. Mild citrus aroma; lemon and papaya. Light juicy taste with a quiet note of biscuit; slightly tart; lemon bread. Heavy body; soft and creamy with an acidic bite; relatively dry overall with just a touch of lingering sweetness.

    This is a nice, refreshing hazy IPA, balanced and nuanced.

    I'm still curious too because when Bangor first opened it was a Naval party up here, We had Mo and the NJ in the same yard for a while... on the other side of the peninsula had the Trident and chaser sub base.

    I got nothing other than to say this iconic beer from this iconic brewery still lifts my skirt 12+ years after first trying it. Absolutely love it, even with 2+ months of whiskers (canned 2/14/20).
