Couldn't sleep, so up @ 4 to add some beer/photos to the database, & finish last night's crowler.

Worked yesterday, mostly delivering mulch. Contact-less , in theory, but people are bored & want to chat. From a safe 20' away, of course.:sunglasses:

Should have slept well, but the skid steer is not knee-friendly, & neither is climbing up & down to roll/unroll the tarp. (Yeah, completely manual:rolling_eyes:) I was doing that because the boss is hurting, & can't take the racks off the back (to dump).:flushed:

There's something amusing about loading/delivering mulch in a moderately heavy snow storm.(See brewery photo below.)

In case you can't read the fancy script , that's Dead! , a brown ale with maple. Pretty good. Not heavy, or overly sweet. The maple fluctuates between smelling like it's mixed with baked beans, ham, &/or butter. Taste is dryer, but still about like frying up some of that leftover maple-glazed ham, & tasting the juice. :+1:

Have a good Friday. I mostly slept in the last 16 hours after I ate a big lunch yesterday. Still not allowed to get any unemployment benefits from the, so I'll probably be homeless soon. No federal stimulus check either. Probably going to fire up the Borderlands GOTY edition right now and get working on that to get my depression out of the way for a little bit. Governor is supposed to extend the lockdown today at some point.

Sierra Nevada Fantastic Haze. Awesome NEDIPA. Lasting rocky head retention/thick foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, strawberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, tea, peppercorn, pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, toasted biscuit, white bread dough malts; and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation and body; balanced creamy/bready/grainy malts, sticky hops, and some resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Fairly crisp/refreshing finish. Light-moderate increasing resin dryness; no hop astringency. Very smooth, not aggressive. Minimal warming 9%. Awesome Chinook, Azacca, Amarillo, Idaho 7, Strata profile. Very juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy hops; with a nice sized wheat/oat/malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp resin dryness. Tastes exactly how I imagined! Will definitely buy more than this one time.

    Response to yesterday:
Woodman's is an ESOP/ Employee owned company, and one I wish had a location closer to my house that I can reach. They have real low margins, and unlike many grocery stores they extend these margins to their beer sales. I wish all companies were ESOPs and run like Woodman's.

    The early morning pour today:

First go at this offering. Liked it much better than their Oatmeal Stout. I can see why it is so highly rated here.

I wish you all a great Beer Friday (can't believe it's already Friday!)!!!

Good day BAs! Off to a damp start - the rain ended before I got outside but everything was wet. forecast for the next two days - occasional rain and/or snow for those of us living north of I80 but south of Baffin Bay. Today's New Breakfast Beer:

More of a hopped-up imperial red ale than an IPA, very malt-forward.

2016 is tasting amazing as usual. Flavors of big caramel, raisin, cherry, fig, date, apricot, apple, toffee, brown sugar, brown bread, bourbon, and toasted oak; with lighter notes of molasses, vanilla, coconut, leather, tobacco, and herbal/grassy hops. Light herbal/grassy bitterness and bourbon/oak spiciness on the finish against the sweetness. Light-medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very creamy, silky, velvety, and lightly slick/syrupy mouthfeel. Lightly drying sticky hops and bourbon/oak tannins, no cloying. Minimal warming ABV or barrel booziness. Love this the most after at least 1 year of age to smooth out the boozy barrel notes. Perfectly balanced. English barleywines are my favorite style, and this is my go-to for the style basically.

Gloomy rainy morning here in SWFL. Temp is a comfortable 70 degrees, so the puppy and I just chillin’ on the patio. This beer should warm things up a might - Prairie’s “Pirate Bomb”:

I still have a few bottles of this 7/22/19 batch left. It’s been almost a month since my last bottle, and the alcohol bite is less, as is the hot chillies sauce taste, so on the whole the beer continues to mellow. I need to hold back a bottle or two so I can compare notes at the 1 year mark...for science:sunglasses: :stuck_out_tongue:...Cheers and have a great Friday y’all!

I see those with a lot of the Vermont beers Focal, Foley Bro’s, and Frost but never with a Singlecut. Rotate the can top to bottom 4 times and that a lot of times will get it to settle before pouring.[IMG] Look at all those floaties, not a fan these days of that.

I unexpectedly find myself facing a long weekend ... but that's because we're all sick. Just a cold, I'm pretty sure; no one has a fever or anything worse than stuffiness, cough, headache, tiredness, etc.

Anyway, I suppose that means it's time to get the weekend started, and I'm going to start it with a KBS.

My partner tried one sip, and immediately decided she wanted my last bottle, so looks like it's two KBS on deck (literally) this morning.

Wonderful weather right now, but that's because we're in-between thunderstorms.

Cheers, BAs - and horns up!!!

Another smooth tropical OJ-mango like ripe DIPA from Outer Range.
SHELTER. I can't get over how smooth, ripe, creamy this is without being one of those lactose milk-shake type beers. Hits the balance and mark really nicely.
A gorgeous day once again, on the Front Range, for some Outer Range. (Their cans dent easily, though, not a single one didn't have dimples). Cheers!
