    Good day to all BAs

We are still being quarantined until mid May here while some US states are easing the lockdown despite a tragic toll there... stay safe all.

Leffe Blonde, in its proper chalice.

I have heard from @PuppyClawz that a certain long gone member could make an appearance and return in today’s thread. Should I name him? From Maryland, ladies and gents:

    Shroud0fdoom!

    Cheers!

Legendary song to kick the thread off the right way:

Weekend off? Check. Beer? Check. Movie? Check. Love In The Dark by Cloudwater and Track in the glass, Le Mans ’66 on screen. Cheers, everyone!

This movie is called “Ford vs Ferrari” in the USA.

I’d imagine Le Mans isn’t really a household name in the U.S. Also, damn I love Christian Bale.

Fair enough. Also, I haven’t watched it but it sound great even if I hardly care for cars race sports.

The cast is amazing, and the story is interesting. I’ll give you a verdict when it’s done!

[IMG] Starting the day with some Kettlehead Lunch Rocks. Need to sell beer from 10-2 today and it is important to know your product. Sold one store out of this yesterday, need to do the same at the other store today. Cheers all.

Second straight 10% beer, and it’s not even 1 PM yet. This will go well. This is Illicium by Wander Beyond from Manchester, a triple milkshake IPA.

    Loving this movie.

If I may . . . it's a great movie, even if you're not into racing. And we know Le Mans here; I remember watching it as a little kid, which was, well, a long time ago.

First Swede of the day is Fader Movits by Bottenvikens Bryggeri from Luleå, in the most northern part of Sweden. These guys are quickly becoming a favorite, with, clean, crisp, wellmade beers. This is an IPA of 5.2%, very easy to drink but still full of flavor.

About an hour in, and this has the feel of a masterpiece to me. World-class acting, beautifully shot, and interesting, regardless of racing interest. Full disclosure, I love racing, especially the 60s through the 90s.

Good day BAs! Le Mans - sure. Like @JayORear, I remember it being on TV when I was, well not exactly a kid, but in that kiddish area. It was no more boring than, say, Nascar today, or TV golf, or movies like the the "Fast and the Ludicrous" series. If you like that stuff, enjoy.

We're starting off today with sunshine - if it holds (rain predicted later), I might mow the grass if it looks like there may be a dry two-hour stretch. Otherwise, it's a few hours working in the garage, basically killing time and getting VERY minor tasks completed.

Today's Breakfast Beer is an old favorite:

Bottled August 2019 and still quite hot - my stash of 2017 bottles ran out. Otherwise, one of the best pumpkin beers I've ever found.

#4 , IPA by Eskilstuna Ölkultur, one of the older craft breweries in Sweden, starting production in 2006. This is an English IPA with some American hops.

Have a good Saturday. Got a normal level of sleep last night. Got another hour of Borderlands worked on before I went to bed. Currently stuck on Bonehead, but I think I finally got the right combo to beat him. Assault rifle for his shield and then sniper rifle head shots for his heath bar.

New Holland Dragons Milk Reserve Banana Coconut. Incredible imperial stout. Aromas and flavors of big milk chocolate, cocoa, banana, coconut, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, nuts, and dark/brown bread; with light notes of coffee, molasses, licorice, raisin, cherry, smoke, and herbal hops. Mild herbal/roast bitterness and bourbon/oak spiciness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full body; very creamy, silky, velvety, rich mouthfeel that is amazing. Slight sticky hop, chalky roast, and bourbon/oak tannins. Slightly increasing lingering bitter/tannic dryness. No cloying/acrid. Dangerously smooth sipping. Mildly increasing warmth of 11%, with no barrel booze. Another easy winner as expected. Perfectly balanced rich malts, flavorings, and bourbon barrel integration. Minimal booze/tannins on barrels. Always buy more than 1 pack every release regardless. Never been disappointed. Aging well from 9/2018.

    Busy beavers this morning!

    Light hearted ale again.

And Danner Pronghorns. If you buy these 17" snakeboots, note my laces and what I did to these boots.

If you are on broken terrain, you will want the toebox tight. Not the uppers, tho.

    Cheers!
