Looks like the new canning today is ddh broccoli, based off the delivery order page for today. They might not be doing a new freaky friday can every Friday.

 

I don't know, the recent galaxy beers from OH has been less than avg so it seems

 

curious about the new ACE (anyone?)... as it's been said before that OH typically kills it with a few specific hops for a while as some lose their steam. galaxy (obv) and citra which used to be gold from OH took a turn. The last few batches of DMD were outstanding, ala #teammosaic has emerged.

let them get their kicks with strata and mosaic for a while! i wont complain

 

I haven't tried the new ACE but the batch from two weeks ago tasted great

 

im sorry why are you tarnishing citra with issues on that sub par hop galaxy

 

even you being the ultimate citra fluffer knew of that bad batch of ace which had certain elder statesmen here drain pouring and throwing cans at random strangers.

 

I appreciate that title. Give me the oldest, floppiest, low-alpha citra hop and I’ll have it standing at rigid attention in no time

 

Seriously though can we get an update on ACE? Not that I’ll be buying any. I got a delivery of Finback on Tuesday and one of Suarez yesterday. My super hot wife will have my nuts if I buy more beer. It’s only because I won last Saturday’s poker (which paid for the Suarez) that I still currently have them

PSA: this batch of Hop Showers is great. Has the beloved melon note and I haven’t been getting that from any recent OH brews

Gotta add to the love this beer is getting. Very berry. Berry Cap’t Crunch. Best beer from OH in a minute imho.

 

Also the new Hop Showers is very dope, spot on melon notes (once it warms a little), nice bitter and crackery finish.

 

When was the last time DDH Double mosaic Daydream dropped?

 

ACE is good but doesn’t have the creaminess of some batches. Hop Showers is perfect.

 

Cracked open another can of SD from the most recent batch. Thought a couple weeks would mellow out some of the vegetal character. Nope.

it’s gotten worst over time, any semblance of pineapple or lemon/lime character that Galaxy is known for is gone. Shoot I don’t even get the peppery note that I usually get from galaxy (see Elysian Space dust). Tastes like muddled wet grass

and this is coming from someone who has been hesitant to even be remotely critical of this years batches of SD
