Apparently Beer Temple is selling Juicy Bits, posting a "welcome to Chicago message" on Twitter. This is HUGE news! Wider Chicago distribution coming? Anyone?
They are in town for the festival at Mikerphone. Probably just sent a few extra cases and kegs for key accounts in the city and burbs. Not a regular thing if I had to guess
Fischmans had WW on tap Wednesday with some Juicy Bits cans to go, but sold fast as I got there too late.
seeing some posts that there was a weldwerks drop this week, has anyone seen any in the western burbs, Beer cellar geneva posted it Wednesday but was gone same day TIA
It all hit Wednesday. BJ's in Oswego had some as well as JP's in Naperville. Might want to check and see if any is still hanging around but.......that was 2 days ago.
They make some really solid IPA's. We have been getting distro from those guys here in VA for about 6 months or so and everything I've tried has been pretty good. Nothing life changing but for a shelf beer its worth the money.
Flight Tasting Room and Bottle Shoppe in Yorkville got all of the WW and OR, and you can buy singles all with curbside delivery. GREAT BUSINESS and SUPER PEOPLE!
I strongly recommend their IPAs. Stopped in their taproom last summer and tried a bunch of stuff - their IPA game is strong.
The Sabro and Lotus DDH Juicy Bits were both pretty good. Double Orange Dreamsicle was more solid to good. Got all 2 packs at The Beer Cellar Geneva and missed out on the Outer Range drops elsewhere. So if you have FOMO I would let that go but I don’t regret picking these up even at $5.50 or so a can
ORB makes great haze. Also a great brewery to visit if you happen to find yourself in Frisco or Breckenridge. Juicy Bits (canned 4/14) showed up downstate this week. Thanks Covid-19 (?). EDIT: I'm pounding a Fader instead of going to bed. No regrets.
Wound up getting a couple cans of everything expect Double Orange (Too many orange milkshakes this past month) and thought Long Distance Distancing was by far the best of the bunch. It was a collab also.
I've had Juicy Bits a few times now and never been impressed. Maybe I'm the problem but I'll be skipping it in the future.
