Have a good Saturday. Up all night after sleeping until 7PM. I went over to chill at my buddies apartment downstairs for a few hours after that. Then I was playing Borderlands 2 for a bit; saw that Battlefront 2 was on sale for $4 on steam so I bought that. I got the first mission done, but the game is actually pretty difficult and uses an older gaming style of health bars, with no shields to recharge. You can pick up stim packs off dead droids, and refill at pod stations; but you can die very quickly so you have to be careful. The respawn points are few and far between, and you can't save unless you beat the entire mission. Not what I'm used to, but not a bad thing. The flying was some weird controls for PC, but I got used to it. I prefer Keyboard and mouse for FPS style games. I will buy the new 2017 EA version of the game as it's only $6. I've wasted $4 in worse ways.

Elysian Contact Haze. Excellent NEIPA. Great fluffy head retention/foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew, watermelon, red apple, coconut, guava, blueberry, raspberry, currant, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine hops; with moderate cracker, white bread dough, biscuit, light toasted malts; and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, minty, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and body; very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, fairly sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 6%, or lingering hop burn after the finish. Awesome El Dorado, Mosaic, Southern Passion, Sabro, Citra, and Sultana profile. Very juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a nice oat/malt backbone. Mild residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. No complaints, meets all expectations.

[IMG] Thinking my next would be something Cold Yellow And Hoppy. Poured into a 13 oz Snulip glass canned on 4/29/20. Pours a hazy yellow, with a finger plus sticky white head that leaves a thin ring of lace as it slowly settles. 4.5

Smell coconut, pineapple, mango, papaya, vanilla, and apricot. 4

Taste follows coconut and pineapple hit first mango, papaya, vanilla, and apricot finish this very tropical NEIPA with lactose, oats, and DDH with Cryo Sabro. 4.25

Mouthfeel is bigger than medium, sticky not dry, soft and creamy, and at 6.5% drinks bigger in flavor, but goes down rather easy. 4.5

Overall I am digging this, very different. If you aren’t a fan of coconut flavor, probably not your thing but really tasty stuff from Kettlehead. 4.25

In yesterday's thread, @TheIPAHunter drank a number of exquisite IPAs, which brought him to a new level of consciousness. I will now try to take that journey. As @TheIPAHunter experienced yesterday, this beer: "Makes me want to fry up an ancient creature in a pan, then inhale its knowledge, while pontificating on the secondary wisdom I can digest to feed a lifetime."

@TheIPAHunter, I do now understand that life is only the psychotomy of the mind's willingness. I will walk through razor blades, though I will believe it is that waterslide. I will arrive at that destination. This beer has set me on that path.

Good day BAs! It's starting off sunny and mild today, so I guess I'll burn brush today in hopes we have enough dry days to till and plant my garden. My neighbor has a huge pile in his garden - mine is all in my garage where it has dried out nicely. Of course we still have the possibility of snow into June (Rare but not unheard of). They are partially lifting the restrictions here - going to code yellow - but the reporting is so screwed up nobody (we the people) actually has any idea of the infection or morbidity rates.
Anyway - today's Clean the Reefer Breakfast Beer:

OK but far from great - a solid 3.

Well one thing is for sure, the 2017 EA Battlefront 2 is 1000% better than the old one. Easier to zoom headshots with any weapon. I dig the third person mode a lot. You can change it to first person, but I like it the other way more. Running 80 FPS at all ultra graphics for a relatively new game :sunglasses:

Amazing NEIPA as always. Flavors of huge grapefruit, tangerine, orange juice, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, lemon zest, orange peel, and light pepper/pine hops; with wheat, biscuit dough, light honeyed malt sweetness; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Very mild pine, grassy, zesty, citrus peel bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; very creamy, bready, grainy wheat/oats, and light hop stickiness in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Very dank/juicy hops, with perfect wheat, oat, malt malt balance. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness, amazing soft feel. Super easy drinking. Glad to have this as a year round available beer. This is one of my top most purchased beers ever at the moment. It just doesn't get any better for the style vs availability. Every Old Nation NEIPA is better than most anything else I've had in the state. DDH is just as impressive; but a bit more bitter, resinous, dank, and earthy.
