    That's a one and done type of beer. No longer brewed.

    Been 4 batches so far including two in 2018. Wouldn’t be surprised to see next batch soon.

    I was going to say Heady Topper, but figured I’d look at my beers list to see.
    I was right!

    My first review (on Ratebeer) was Sweetwater Hop Hash for some reason. I don’t remember it being particularly amazing. But I simply started reviewing so I could practice discerning flavors apart from each other, and as a writing outlet.

    While not the first beer I rated, it was my first #30SecondBeerReview I recorded on Twitter for a DM beer group I am in. It was a collaboration between Cellarmaker and Moonraker called From Yakima With Love, an 8.6% DIPA brewed with Centennial, Mosaic, Citra, Ekuanot & Simcoe. Since then I've record some 350 videos of reviews. If you are interested, you can find them all here.

    Alaskan Amber for me. I drank it and noticed such a complex flavor profile. I didn't want a second one. I then dove into the craft beer industry and explored other styles. I don't think I would have done it without getting hit in the face by Alaskan Amber though.

    beer saved the world when the water was too dangerous. Because they didn’t realize boiling would kill bacteria but still. I love the history of it as much as I drink it.

    The beer that tickled my titties was Pliny the Elder. No doubt. Never tasted anything like it. It made me the “man” I am today.

    At a November HyVee wine club tasting a few years ago, they offered samples of a couple of craft beers that they would be featuring at their holiday show. One taste of Deschutes Fresh Squeezed and I was hooked. That was the first beer I rated here, and it started me down the road to becoming a certified hop junkie. Seriously. I'd show you my certificate, but it's at the frame shop.*

    * $1 to Calvin & Hobbes

    Matilda by goose island. My first exposure to brettanomyces. This was way before I understood the different beer types. Everytime I taste this in a beer it takes me back to 2013-14

    90 minute from Dogfish head. I remember ordering it on draft at a Winking Lizard many years ago. It was a game changer, that’s for sure.

    A particular beer didn't bring me here but rather suggestions by friends and family I can learn more about current releases in Chicago. Bourbon County Brand Stout was the first craft beer that blew me away, after a Trappist Rochefort 8 I was all in.

    Also love La Fin du Monde (Quebicois!!!)

    I started reviewing beers when I discovered BA. Like @beertunes says above, I just thought that's what you did on BA. The beer that led me to stumble across BA was Old Rasputin, because I'd never had anything like that, and I was curious what the hell I'd drank (I'd been in a corporate restaurant and had wanted a Guinness, and the waitress had told me they didn't have that, but had something just like it...).
