The Dancing Gnome beers I've had have been fine and definitely worth that price tag if you're in the market for NEIPA, but it won't blow your mind.

I definitely agree with Msudukie that Substance is unremarkable. At least compared to the other hazy/NE style options available in the NY market, it feels thin. Bissell in general is great though.

I'll echo what has been said, Substance is a good beer but not Bissell's best by far. The few DG I have had were pretty good, not knock your socks off great, but def something I would spend that amount on and drink willingly.

I passed on grabbing either of the ROC beers yesterday as the timing didn't work. I def need to get some DDH Green City at some point, love reg Green City

agreed once again... BB substance is good enough. Swish, Reciprical, Nothing Gold.. if you can get your hands on those, do it.

Anyone have any evolved thoughts on "lACEd"? I find it funny that the way it looks on the can looks like a lower case "i" more than an L. almost like they're saying, "oops I accidentally aced in space" like this beer was a total accident.

We thought it was time to dial things up a bit, so we've given our OG the HDHC treatment. Available from the taproom or by curbside delivery today at noon!

HDHC Green City India Pale Ale (7%) Our hazy East Coast IPA with loads of oats and hopped with Citra, Simcoe and Centennial gets the High Density Hop Charge treatment. Packed with a ridiculous amount of Citra flavor and aroma from our Citra Cryo and Incognito and perfectly balanced with our hand picked Simcoe, Simcoe Cryo and Centennial. Fruity, juicy, with a delicious creamy body and slight bitter finish. $20 per 4 pack, 2 four pack limit per person.

Are we really calling a beer only brewed 2 years ago originally for an event that was being put on an "OG"? That being said, color me intrigued I guess

IIRC Green City was being kegged and distributed long before the actual event, isn't it just their flagship IPA?

I had my 2nd ACE of Diamonds yesterday, it lost much of the unpleasant paper taste from last week, I try again next week for can number 3.

Yea I first had Green City in January of 2018, which would've been a few months before the first festival. It pretty much replaced the "west coast" Other Half IPA as their flagship

Yeah now that you mention it I think it did come out slightly in advance of the first festival and then they made different versions for GC 2018, either way I wouldn't consider it an "OG beer" IMO

Had the opportunity to taste this on Friday, right off the brite, while taking pictures of Geriz for a story. It's delicious.

Pardon if this has been answered, but are proxies allowed for curbside pickup? I can't find a definitive answer on the OH site.

anecdotally I would say yes. couple of times I’ve done it I’ve called the number when I got there, said “picking up for Dirk Diggler” and they’ve brought the beers out to my car with no further ID check or verification. Been a couple weeks though so maybe that’s changed

I honestly don't see why not. Once you get there you call, give the name on the order and the car make, model, & color. OH has allowed proxies for the VIP pickups for GC and Pastrytown I think as well.
