How does your avatar affect your online interactions?

I just love the law, especially when its ignorant. I see myself in that, ignorant. Just like i love my females. God i love this world...

Edit: Ha, my first edit... Talk about breaking the fourth wall. I really love my beer-rep. It is mystical, which makes me have a personal problem with it. I mean, i do everything in my might to make this world a better place for everyone, internationally.... But this number troubles me deeply, the beer-rep i mean... Thats why i like to work on it, and become good... Its about time something challenged me to a manly duel.

 

I honestly don't think much about people's avatars unless it's a Block O. Then I think the worst of that person until proven otherwise.

 

I have to watch this every time I come across it in a thread. It makes me laugh out loud every single time.

 

As I read this thread and learned the proper definition of an avatar, I will say that my ID pic is of one of my favorite places on Hatteras Island. The Parrot Head skull and crossbones flag is known to those that follow him.

 

I assume you and everyone are familiar with this one too?

 

For my first five years, I had the original Goose Island Honker's Ale logo, primarily because Bourbon County Stout was the first craft beer that I had that really changed my perception of beer (about a decade ago). I used to go to their brewery and brewpub a lot, but after I retired it is a bit of a hike to get there. Not sure if it offended the anti-AB/GI contingent.

I switched to FOBAB for the new decade after my 5th year BA Anniversary. FOBAB stands for the Festival of Barrel Aged Beers hosted by the Illinois Craft Guild each November. I hope to be volunteering and attending this once again this Fall. It's a great opportunity to try many different styles (over a dozen).

FOBAB is my favorite beer festival, though hopefully in a year or two I can hit the GABF to see how it stacks up and be exposed to different types of beers and styles I won't be able to find in Chicago.

 

I like avatars that are simple and easily recognizable, but that doesn’t determine if I like their comments or not. There’s way too many avatars of really busy pictures with minute details.

there’s someone on here who has a really nice red cardinal design as an avatar, I forget their handle though...

My avatar gives members the impression that I am a Marlon Brando fan, this is sort of true.
The God Father 1 and 2 were great movies, 3 not so much.
This avatar lets people know that I am old school, if they screw with me I'll just smile um off and then "exercise my option" (ignore them) at a time of my choosing.

I really don't like political avatars. I have a hard time liking a post when the avatar has a political statement. Other than that, I am cool with pretty much everything. My avatar, if you would like to know (or not, I'm telling anyway), is a car I had since I was 20 and rebuild from scratch. Ever since custom picture avatars have been possible I have been using it. Just like my user name, the model of car you see in the picture: Opel Manta i200
