As you probably don’t know or care, I took a few years off from the beer scene. Occasionally questions come up that I don’t really want to ask. Either they sound stupid or don’t really fit into a “section”.
    Here goes...
    * why did pelican pub’s “the perfect storm” change into “mother of all storms?”
    * why did abacus turn into sucaba? I have figured out it’s abacus backwards already.
    * are hazeboi’s a real thing? Or just a joke about people caught up in hype?
    * are there people that like neipa’s and wcipa’s and don’t care which one they’re drinking?
    * can you see top 100 or 250 lists from previous years ?
    * can you extend to see top 300? 500? Etc...
    * has anyone ever drank a bottle of Black Tuesday by themselves, and how did it go?
    Cheers.

Thanks for reminding me why I'm taking time off from the beer scene. Carry on....

Hey, welcome back. Great avatar. Lot of questions here, but I will say that I enjoy both NEIPA's and WCIPA's. Over the last couple of years I have leaned toward the NE's but always have WC's in my fridge because those are really where my heart is. They are different and I can have a "mood" for each one.

    Welcome back
    1. Dont know, breweries change the names of beers all the time for various reasons
    2. See 1
    3. Hazeboi's is a generally pejorative term to describe craft beer drinkers who are after the latest trends in specifically turbid beers from small batch (tradeable) breweries.
    4. I appreciate all attempted styles of beer so long as they are able to pull it off (there's a lot of failures out there). I can't speak for anyone else.
5.I'm sure there is a way but I wouldnt know.

    7. Black out! (but to be fair it was after we opened a bunch of beers and decided not to drink it because we were already hammered and didn't trust trying to close it. So i was foolishly up to the challenge).
    Cheers back at cha!

    As to #2: "Legal Reasons".

Yes, Hazebros(boiz) are most certainly a thing.

    Welcome back buddy!

I can't speak to the other questions, but the answer to this one is "Well, there's at least one."

Hazebois are definitely a real thing. But who can argue that good beer only comes out of 16oz cans?! Jokes.

No to the Black Tuesday, but I did consume two bottles of Perinn’s No Rules after a rough week once. I assume the sugary hangover would be comparable!

    Welcome back! Try to enjoy...

For question 5, I'd try the Internet Wayback Machine, assuming this site is indexed there.

WCIPA > NEIPA, 7 days of the week

There is a video somewhere of a guy doming a bottle by himself. It doesn't show the aftermath, but I can't imagine it was good ... :joy:

Hazebois are the new Whalezbro but ultimately the same demographic. But looking at your questions, you may not have been around during the Whalezbro era. How long has it been since you’ve been active on Beer Advocate if you don’t mind me asking?

I'm not gonna get to far off the rails here but will say I enjoy a well made IPA regardless of sub style. Juicy bits and superpower both have a special place in my heart. Hazybois are a thing, but that's 2019, now is the hey day of the crispyboi.

I can speak to this one: yes. I solo domed a 20.3% (I think it was a 2016) bottle in the early afternoon one day. I finished it, and then promptly passed out for a few hours.

Jason, I wish that I could agree with you here. In my area there just seems to be an ever growing number of Juicy/Hazy hoppy beers on the shelves with the larger, distributing breweries adding to the amount. It just seems like there is less and less space on the shelves for other beer types.

Are you seeing a decline in the number of Juicy/Hazy beer brands in your area retailers?

    Cheers!
