Metropolitan has the following for sale at the brewery today. Distro next week it seems.

    Stromhaus Helles sixers - $10

Speaking of Metropolitan and Maibocks, they recently had a honey Maibock available to go in growlers (Don’t Call Me Honey). Not sure if it still is. I didn’t get a chance to try it, but it sounded quite good.

I am unreasonably excited for the Stromhaus Helles.

I picked up a 6 pack of Fader to function as a post-run shower beer as well as the last beer of the night (trying to avoid the 11 pm Double IPA!). I really liked it and appreciated the format of 6x12oz cans

Off color Can’t take me anywhere is a top notch Zwickel. That’s also one to seek out!

Yeah I really liked the Leaves of Grass beer. Pretty subtle but then the rye malt gives it just enough pop to be interesting on the finish. Yesterday was the perfect day for it with it being chilly and a bit crisp out, lovely.

I liked the Sierra Nevada more than you did as well. There was something strange about the flavor that immediately hit my palate but the finish was floral and noble hoppy. It does feel a bit like two beers trying to be one beer, but the second beer I loved so I can't hate it overall.

Awesome, came here to ask if anyone had seen Stromhaus "in the streets" yet, that answers that!
Literally the only reason I've logged into Instagram the last few days is to see if any shops got cans yet.

This is definitely a nicer way to bring this beer home than the 64oz growler! If you dig your Helles then go pick it up! And now the waiting game to see if Heliostat gets canned too!

The free drink coupons (for when they reopen) Metropolitan handed me at pickup was a classy touch.

Tried this week. It's seriously the first lager that broke into 4.0 territory for me. I love lagers, but taste wise they never really get into that gotta have it beyond a filler beer...The Vienna? Oh hell yeah!

That’s a pretty major flaw for a lager. No lager should have easily identifiable floaties in it. Those floaties should have never made it to the can

Grabbed a can of the Stromhaus and really, really loved it. It's up there with Dovetail's for best Helles out there as far as I'm concerned.

    Wonderful beer.

100% agreed, had my first can over the weekend as well. Really excited that Metro finally rolled this one out to distro.

Got a six pack of Fader over the weekend. I can't even tell you what the beer tastes like. I just drink it and its gone. Might have to add it to the session beer rotation.

Fader has taken over my fridge. I buy another pack every time I run to the store.

Metal Monkey in Romeoville gives free drink coupons for when they reopen as well. Very nice touch.
