Obviously must be a triple version of Tavern Cut.

The picture looks a bit disturbing...it looks like the slice of pizza cut itself out of the pie?

While I’m not arguing the over-charging point, lagers aren’t necessarily cheaper if you don’t have the space to allow for a proper lagering time (takes longer to brew than a standard ale). So I’ve assumed those prices are because of that this. Even HA Fader was $15+ when it debuted, but now it’s properly priced since it’s year round. But I agree, it better be a damn good Pilsner at that price when I can get equal or better options at 2/3 of the cost.

I just frankly think Hop Butcher is not that good at making lagers. I've been burned by them in the past and am done trying them.

Do agree they make killer WCIPA though.

I found it smooth and sweet. It needed some bitterness to balance it out. It's not bad, very drinkable, just nothing exceptional IMO.

I loved the pineapple flavor and was impressed that lime didn’t dominate the beer. It is the flavor on the finish but it was a good milkshake. I assumed I was going to take 1 sip and need to trade the other 3 cans because I’m not wild about lime in beer

Hop butcher did mention in their post aboit Mars that this was their biggest dryhop to date. I couldn’t tell if that was referencing their WC IPA dry hop rates, or overall. Either way, consumers have paid high price points for innovation throughout history. Eventually, if they make enough the price will drop or the market standard rates will rise and their price will fall in line like a three floyds IPA

also, if you consistently see RevPils for 8.99 that means it’s always on sale. Congrats, you’re ballin on a budget!

Target sells all Rev standard 6 packs for $8.99. Or at least they used to (I haven’t checked lately). They are a major account for certain breweries, so they get them in bulk pricing.

I’m sure Binnys moves more than target though and binnys is at 9.99 unless they have a sale. That’s just target choosing not to make standard margins because they’ll make their nut somewhere else in the store, on toilet paper or school supplies ect... those big “essential” stores thrive on being a one stop shop. As long as they know you’re not shopping anywhere else, they win.

Target is nationally one of the largest sellers of alcohol. Binny’s is a drop in the pan compared to them.

Meijer and Woodman's both have Rev 6 packs and Half Acre 4 packs for $8.99 all of the time. I like supporting the little guys and I do, but I also like getting some fresh Daisy Cutter and Rev Pils with my groceries.

Obviously nationally, but in Illinois? I’m not sure of the data, but I’d be surprised if Binnys moved less Rev than target in Illinois

Depends on the store, I know a Walgreens that just flies through daisy. Anytime I’m there for prescriptions or a gallon of milk I’ll grab a 4pk and it tastes great. Im also near a Binnys that buys stacks of BrickStone APA just puts it on the mix a 6 when it’s time to expire. Not only that, they keep Brickstone in three different spaces, so I can’t even trust that the stuff in the fridge has been kept cold the entire time or just thrown in the fridge so it would move. I’ll give a shout out to woodmans, at least they give a shit about quality. They store literally every beer cold. Can’t say the same for other major chains. The only other places that purchase responsibly and manage their inventories properly are Beer Temple, Beer Cellar, Bitter Pops and other small independent stores that GAF.
