    So far Skypager has been my least favorite. I thought Western Glow was pretty solid.

    The general consensus is that in 2019, they fell deep into acid territory, whereas before they were pretty restrained.

    I'm a member, and Morning Doves is technically member beer #4 in 2019. I actually haven't gotten to it yet, but many of the ones I've tried in 2019 (Winter Union, Oro del Sol, Cherry Skies, Austerity) are much more sour than their 2018 beers. That being said, I've heard that Unseen Dreams (2020 Member Beer 1) gets them back in line with the way they used to make them. Saison de la Casa 2019 was also pretty nice.

    I didn't know that Morning Doves was pretty restrained, so if that's the case... I'm gonna go dig it out and stick it in the fridge! (Edit: And.. I did!)

    Agreed. Just tasted thin and almost flat of flavors. Frontier was good and balanced but nothing stood out in it. Glow was my fav.

    Western Glow is the only one I have and I thought it was pretty solid.

    Some hazy’s may be to fresh to begin with. Maybe they need to sit in the can for a few weeks. I’ve had several that improved with age. Hazy’s usual do well sitting for a few weeks. Not so
    Much with clear ipa’s.

    I know it's a collab with Moksa but this has Casa DNA all through it. Fantastic citrus forward hazy.

    This is fantastic. I do think it's slightly more tart than Casa of old - you can tell during mid-palate it wants to go there - but by the end of the sip, it gets reined in. Maybe it's the Orange that pushes it towards acidity? But either way, this is a nice tasting beer and I'm glad you mentioned it.

    Yea the drop of Western Glow, Skypager and Forbidden Frontier was solid but I think having to follow the act of those previous 4 that were outstanding was always going to be tough. Echoing others Western Glow is very nice. Got a new shipment today of Oils of Angels (hazy), Room with a view (WCIPA) and Thrill Caught (stout). Cracked Oils of Angels tonight and I’m enjoying it. More malt forward and sweet compared to some of their other hazies. Strong flavor of peaches and cantaloupe.

    Loving these Casa IPAs. The one knock I’ll say is a few of them I’ve noticed a sharp fall off after 2-3 weeks. Super fresh they are stellar but some have degraded pretty quick. That may just be me as I find very few IPAs where they get better with a couple weeks on them to my palate unless it’s a hefty DIPA or TIPA.

    Oils is pretty good. Room With A View is a miss for me. Not really a true WC in my opinion. Too juicy. Not enough dank/citrus/punchy hop kick. All for a fruity/tropical element in a WC of course, but it needs to be backed up with a solid bittering component. Crack another one tonight, maybe my palate was off or something.

    Room with a view was pretty good. Big on dank, fruity flavors. I’m not really into the classic WCIPA style so this worked fine for me. Glad I only got 1 four pack though.

    Thrill Caught is really great. When cold the bitter cocoa dominates a bit too much but as it warms up the medley of thick chocolate, intense cinnamon and subtle peppers meshes very well. I had some trepidation as pepper forward beers I don’t like. This comes together superbly, really heavy, thick mouthfeel.

    Western Glow is tasting mighty fine right now. Much better than Oil of Olay. :wink:

    Yea Western is improving with a couple weeks on it. Tastes great, agree. I am liking Room with a View too, my kind of WCIPA.

    5 new four pack offerings on sale today. 2 hazy IPAs, 2 hazy DIPAs and 1 rice lager. Had to pull the trigger and try them all :slight_smile:

    I like Oil of Angels too! I don’t want to come across as a super fan on everything but Oils I like on same level as Western Glow. It’s really good.
