Obviously these are in high demand. I saw they are releasing Speaking Gently today at 2pm (2pp). I have a friend who is passing by Homage today at around 4-5pm, he placed an order for a bunch of crowlers and stuff.

Do you guys have any idea how good are the chances of him landing the bottles? I would be seriously letdown if I couldn't. He lives in Utah, so this was our one opportunity to try their bottled goodness.

Driving for 15 hours from Utah made a 150 dollar preorder of crowlers and cans, of their lower shelf stuff. Never had bottles Homage. Be there at 5pm. bottles released at 2pm And i now missing on the bottles because people swarm like flies to hoarde and trade. monkish cans ran out in less than a minute, even as I tried to put an order in, two days in a row. And Sante cans were 150 dollars and quite the letdown.

I'm officially retiring from this shit. back to drinking shelf bs i can get. This is ridiculous.

Monkish's system is too dumb to even bother with.

Honestly this is just as bad. I know people who go there with their wife and two friends, snatch 8 bottles at once, to trade or sell for whatever.

meanwhile, i just want to try their bottled beer, which is not even close to what they offer on crowlers right now. And I can't.

Homage enjoys the hype. They could utilize any number of more efficient and better systems, but they prefer the hype.

Their saisons live up to the hype. Their lager game is very good also. The hype is warranted.

I’m with you on the lack of efficiency with their bottle sales. I understand why they do it because it allows them to make additional sales of their other beers they wouldn’t have going the eventbrite route with their bottles.

The shitlords that swarm these hype breweries are exactly the type of people I don’t want to associate with. And the beer coming out of these breweries is rarely, if ever better than beer sitting on shelves. People have convinced themselves its better because it’s more scarce, it isn’t.

The beers I’ve had from Homage are definitely better than anything on shelves. I’ve mostly only tried stuff on tap at the Herm or at festivals though.

Their saisons and sours are good, but counterpoint I can order SARA to my door right now.

I think Homage, SARA, Cellador, and others are definitely not comparable to any shelf stuff I can readily find excepting select beer stores that carry breweries like these (Vendome, Southland...).

I do have to say that the IPAs I have been cracking from almost every brewery lately have disappointed me a bit. Best ones have been Spots and Dots and The Pupil for WC. And I did like the HBP 90h 'pils' quite a bit. But nothing mind blowing, or that would warrant the premium in price.

The wilds and saisons from SARA and Homage, though, are a different story. And Cellador.

    Isn’t 90 Hour Days $17 for a 4-pack? That’s not much of a premium.

Yeah, I guess you are right. Still, some very good Port limited releases cost 9.99-10.99 a 4-pack, and Madewest Pale, which I really like, goes for about $7.99. Mayberry, etc are also 11-12...

$5 bucks is not a trivial difference, though granted, 90h is not really a pils but a hazy pale lager or something like that.

It doesn’t even save to your cart during checkout. I’ve immediately made a purchase then it sold out before I go through checkout like three times now. Not worth dealing with that shit at all.

I haven’t had trouble with the curbside pickup. I know the shipping has been another story though.
