FYI: Here's latest on VT lodging straight from Gov.'s presser this morning:
"The state also released guidance on lodging, effective May 22, covering inns and other lodging operations, short-term rentals, campground and marinas. Those businesses “will be able to accept overnight reservations from people who have met 14-day quarantine requirements,” said Lindsay Kurrle, the secretary of the Vermont Agency of Commerce and Community Development. Vermont residents and those who have been quarantined will have to fill out a questionnaire affirming that they have met quarantine requirements, she said."

Wow. A questionnaire? Sounds air tight.

The honor system has never been air tight. I think at this point, people are relying on other people to do the right thing and make responsible decisions.

I don't advocate breaking the rules that are in place. That being said, a NH resident driving over the border to buy Heady Topper at the Bennington Co-Op doesn't put a lot of other people in danger. However, coming and staying at a hotel for a weekend puts a lot of other people at risk.

Alright everybody, it's time for the moment of truth. My second-to-last can of Edward, expiring on May 15, and being consumed on May 16, 12:00 AM EST.

Looks great. Like I said the cans have been more turbid as opposed to the moderate haze of the draft pours.

Smells like Odin's orange grove in Asguard. As Edward does.

Tastes...just as good as the first can. Citrusy, well-balanced, and delicious.

So it's just 1 day after the "expiration" date. I didn't expect it to just magically fall off a cliff. But I have one can left so I'll save it for a week or two and see if I notice any changes.

This is just for shits and giggles. If HF staff and Shaun himself say you need to drink this beer in 10 days, then drink it in 10 days. I'm just interested to see how significant the change is.

Thats quarantined in VT for 14 days? Wondering if they said how long this is for. If Hill Farmstead has the festival Aug 1st, many out of towners have plans of coming in. HF said they'd make the final decision June 15th though.

any HF sightings in Mass? Friend posted on untapped about scoring bottles of Anna & Florence at a North Andover pizza shop last night...J&M Liquors.*

*J&M has been a spot for rare & special order wines & occasionally beers for years, but doesn't have the social media presence of a Redstone, Andover Wines, Julio's, etc.

Yeah, I’d say they are reselling bottles picked up at the brewery. Not a smart move.

Sorry for the stupid question - I'm not local, but planning a trip to Vermont once I can travel from Europe, so I'm bookmarking some cool places for beer and wine to stop by.

I don’t really want to revive the Edward/SNPA conversation BUT check out the current HF IG story (couldn’t find a link to copy)

I think part of the short shelf life might be the fact that they're selling unlabeled cans. I'm not totally familiar with all the laws, but I can't imagine the TTB is a big fan of that.

    TTB doesn't govern non-distro labels.

Or the length of time a beer inside a vessel would be good.

I mean, even before dry hopping, Edward is clearly less clear.

How many beers that have a similar color can we take pictures of and say, "see, I was right, they're basically the same beer, I mean one of them is clearly a better version of the other duh!"

    lol

Well I have done a very scientific urinalysis after consuming both Edward and SNAP and can say without a doubt that they are basically the same beer.
