My cousin drank his bottle, said it was a drain pour. He isn't some noob to beer and I trust his palette 100%

 

Different people got different "palettes". Over 500 people have rated this beer on Untapped and it is rated 4.69. Untapped ratings aren't everything, but they may be when comparing them against the experience of 1 person. Seems like a win-win trade on both sides from what I see

 

That's exactly it. I had a beer on Friday that I couldn't get past 5 sips, but the average score is 4.37. Is it a bad beer? No, probably not... just not for my palate.

OK curiosity got the best of me...what was that beer?

Just noticed second ft for doozie on the first page.

 

Arketype: Coco Flux by MoRE Brewing. Just got released maybe a week ago. My friends like it a lot, my wife likes it a lot..... but me, I'm serious when I say all I could do was 5 sips. I passed the rest of my glass and the can to my wife since she really enjoyed it.

Funny enough, that too is a coconut adjunct stout.

For what it’s worth, I’ve had both beers in question (funnily enough, I got my bottle of BBC from the original poster) and Doozie Coconut was far and away the better beer.

I drank Coconut Doozie the same evening as KBBS and Coconut Assassin and I preferred it to the Toppling Goliath stouts. If I had to rank the beers of that evening it would probably place #2 behind Bourbon County’s Double Barrel Stout.
