Once they saw 6pp, all resellers passed

The page for We Are You said it was wine barrel aged. Is that true?

also, looks like more stouts coming soon. Coco vibes?

i believe it is. description says barrel-fermented and barrel-aged saison aged tor over a year in oak. i’m pretty sure the IG pics from the brew day when everyone was in town showed them tipping bottles from each brewery into the oak barrels.

One thing that worked great for a brewery release up here in the Twin Cities was you bought a lottery ticket for $1 (limit one) that went to charity. You were then entered into a raffle for the beer, were notified via email if you'd won or not. Then you went to Eventbrite or whatever agency they used, I forgot which one it was. Bought your bottle. And used your order # to pick up at brewery. They did no proxies for this, but certainly could have. How doesn't this solve all of the bitching and moaning about timed releases and carts and how fast you can click through and angst about not getting a bottle and on and on?? I'm sure there are pros and cons but worked well for Barrel Theory (and me!!).

Plenty of people don't like lotteries.

Also, nothing will ever stop the bitching and moaning. You could give OWK and $5000 to go with it to everyone who wanted one. Throw in a blow job from a hottie that comes and delivers the beer and cash to your house, and I guarantee you there will still be bitching and moaning.

Think it has more to do with it not selling out, so they "turned off" the no proxy option as customers who don't require proxies can also buy via the proxy SKU.

I wonder if they just consolidated all the bottles under the proxies listing at this point

lotteries are dumb. some people are honest and enter once, other people have their moms dads brothers uncles nephews neighbor and everyone on their street enter for them. I actually knwo someone who had 50 entries to a recent lotto and hit on 6 of them. I entered, my wife entered... nothing. Lotteries just make the shitlords work a little harder , but they'll still prevail.

Have people had luck securing proxies on the new FT feature? Just posted there but I’m not sure if it’s the best route.

yeah, huge FUCK NO to the lotteries. that system is for the lucky and the lazy. one thing i’ve always loved about SP is that if you put the work in (show up for a release) you get an allotment.

Lotteries encourage bulk entries and reward resellers who can create thousands of emails with a script. I have to deal with random drawing / registration events in my job, and the brokers are always several steps ahead of the honest effort put forth by the company. Adding a deposit or cost on top of that runs afoul of lottery rules as well. It's a minefield.

I'd be shocked if somebody doesn't cover for you with those offerings.

I've proxied for 3 people since they opened it up on BA. 2 for SP and once for Triptych. All 3 were smooth as silk and people were incredibly generous for helping them out.

Limits have been lifted on Montmorency if 6 bottles wasn't enough for anyone.

Wow there’s still 1,300 bottles left. That’s a lot of port barrels. Hopefully Cory saved some of them for double barrel Anabasis or a stout.
