    Greetings all,

Lagunitas 12th of never ale for the second time, and it’s growing on me as the weather becomes already pretty warm. Plus we get it relatively fresh; no complaints.

What beer are you drinking now?

    Cheers, all.

I’ve been listening to 311 again as of late. I like that they were able to mix so many genre in their tunes, and albums. Random:

I was going to save this for "Duvel Day" but I couldn't resist to share this with you guys.
Interwoven Sculls and lace, what a bad ass yet sexy new DUVEL glass. Designed by biker lady Joske, forklift truck driver at the Duvel plant.

Started awhile ago since I have to stay up late in preparation for my 12.5 hr nightshift. Started with two Bent River Jingle Javas (delicious as always) followed by a 105 West Deez Nuts (pretty meh, IMHO), and now a Diebolt Porter (another delicious one). Cheers y'all.

Have a good Thursday. Didn't do much last night other than watch a bunch of Cities: Skylines tutorials, and I played for about an hour of that. I had no idea what I was doing when I first did it yesterday morning, and I had to bulldoze a bunch of my mistakes. I have a good idea of what to do now, I will do the scenarios with pre-started cities and complete the objectives. It's a lot like Roller Coaster Tycoon. I played a lot of that in the early 2000s; more so than Sim City 3000 and 4, which I both had hard copies of in the box. So of course I bought Planet Coaster as well yesterday, found it on sale for a Steam key.

Boulevard Rye on Rye 6. Amazing as usual. Aromas and flavors of huge raisin, plum, prune, fig, cherry, date, peach, pear, apricot, orange zest, red apple, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, spicy rye whiskey, toasted oak, coconut, and brown bread/crust; with light notes of licorice, molasses, smoke, oak char, leather, tobacco, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Minimal booze in the aromas as it warms. Mild herbal, grassy bitterness; and bourbon, rye, oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full body; very creamy, silky, bready malts; light slickness, sticky hops, and oak tannins in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter/tannin dryness; no cloying sweetness. Dangerously smooth sipping, mild increasing warmth of 12.9%, minimal lingering barrel booze. Loved it just as much as the base beer. Perfectly balanced between rich malts, fruity yeast, and rye barrel presence/integration. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering bitter/tannic dryness. Very similar to an English barleywine as with the base beer.

New band I found. Sick as hell Prog Death Metal. Only an EP and LP out of yet. This is a 16 minute track.

Looks like @Shanex is starting a little early today. Cheers to you, my bro. Here is another gift from my homie, Dingo. What a beautiful, light Pale Ale.

@RaulMondesi; I started early indeed (yet within the rules of starting it past midnight PT) but didn’t close yesterday’s thread, which could have lived a little longer for my taste.

My European brother - I’m not complaining at all. I just noticed that you are having a beer earlier than your normal. I hope that your tooth is feeling better.

No problem but I can understand when someone isn’t content when we close a thread a tad too early as some members would like to reply to some posts and so forth.

In this case, I suggest to reply into the new thread while tagging the poster you were speaking with.

The tooth pain has dulled a bit thanks to codeine and today will allow myself a couples.

Last one for the night/morning: Boulder Shake. An old standby--too bad I don't have any Chambord to make it a raspberry porter!

Good day BAS! Off to a cloudy start today threatening/promising rain. Hopefully it will and soon, since today is laundry day and I don't really want to run the sprinklers at the same time - slows things down too much. Untitled Art Macadamia White Chocolate Stout. This was amazing, great head retention/spotty lacing. Aromas and flavors of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, toffee, marshmallow, fudge, macadamia nuts, brownie batter, biscuit, toast, and dark/brown bread/crust; with lighter notes of coffee, molasses, licorice, dark fruit, smoke, char, wood, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal, grassy, peppery, roast, charred bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and very full body; with creamy/silky/velvety/bready malts, light slickness/sticky/chalky roast in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing hop/char bitter dryness; no cloying/acrid/astringency. Insanely smooth/soft, mild increasing warmth of 15%, minimal lingering booze. Amazing balance of super rich malt complexity, nuts, lactose, and chocolate flavors; solid earthy hops and mild fruity yeast. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. This is truly a top tier performance for a pastry stout at the stated ABV. 4.4

Another prog metal band I found yesterday. This was the track on a playlist, and my favorite that I've seen.

Back from a stroll in the woods, it felt nice and mild. Back home it’s a bit hotter and we got no A/C here... Maximus is worth every air conditioner...

At 9:30 EST it’s 84 and humid...I’ve done a little yard and garage work, so I’m inside for now cooling off with my favorite coffee stout - Peche Mortel:

Bottled June 3, 2017. I haven’t a PM since I found some in Oakland CA last August. After approximately 3 years sitting on an unrefridgerated SWFlorida liquor store shelf, the coffee is still strong! Bitter roast (76 IBUs) and bittersweet dark chocolate. Dangerous as a breakfast beer because the body is light and the alcohol (9.5%) is well hidden. I love this beer and will go back to the store and scoop up some more...Have a great Thursday y’all!

I didn’t like the Jackson 5 as a teen in the early ‘70s (my little sister did) because my friends/I liked, for what was then, “hard rock”; but as an adult, I love everything about the musicality of those early albums and enjoy hearing Michael and his brothers sing...thanks for the post, and a nice blast from the past - Cheers!
