    I once bought a dirty-30 of Hamm's on sale for $9.99.

If that's not a bang for your buck value, I don't know what is.

Those beers are a $ or 2 more in North NJ.

Shit. 8.99 yards core lineup six packs out here. Flying Fish is the same. Spellbound too.

Oskar Blues seems to be really high on value. Not only the 6-packs but 12-packs are an even better deal. They have even done 4-packs of very good imperial stouts for something like $16.

Drinking from home the past 10 weeks has been a huge value, both price and quantity consumed (typically 2-4 pours during an on-site visit vs. 1-2 pours per day at home). That said, I can't wait to go out and explore live draft pours very soon!

My criteria for a good/great value are:
    1. Excellent Beer (4.0+ personal BA Rating)
    2. Cold
    3. Fresh (Under 30 days)
    4. 15 pack max

    $9-10 six packs
    Spiteful Brewing Alley Time
    Revolution Brewing A Little Crazy
    Founders Rubaeus

    $14-$17 fifteen packs
    Founders All Day IPA
    Founders Mosaic Promise

Sales also bring in additional considerations when still fresh. Too many "sales" are promos to clear stale beer. It was nice to see fresh Firestone Walker's core lineup here at $1 a can last summer (hope to see it return this summer).

    Genny Cream Ale is like $4.99 cheap. Jack's Abbey is $8.99 for 6 x 16 @ Demoulas.

Narragansett Lager is $6 for 6-pack of tall boys around here. That’s hard to beat.

A lot of Georgetown and Bale Breaker stuff is top shelf, and in the $9-12 range per sixer. if I'm going for cheap beer, I'll throw a sixer of Montucky Coldsnack in the fridge.

Damn, I wonder how they make any money at that price? Especially for an AAL that’s as good or better than anything else on the market.

To the OP - I don't know if Smuttynose distributes to NJ these days, but they make two of the best cheap non-IPAs around - Robust Porter and Old Brown Dog brown ale.

A 24 pack of founders solid gold is a nice value for a good craft lager. I think it was around 19-20 bucks probably.

Just picked up a 15 pack of 17 day old Founders Centennial IPA for under $20. That might be the best value for craft beer that I can think of at least where I am.

We usually drink IPAs in the $9-$13 range. Bodhizafa, top cutter, Lush, Sky Kraken... etc. But if I have a weekend project I’m not above a case of Coors Light. Work water. Founders All Day IPA is another great budget beer too though.

This thread reminded me of living in Indianapolis and a grocery store marked dogfish head 120 minute for $10 per 4 pack instead of $10 per bottle, so I bought all 44 they had... haha, I can’t remember what happened to all of them but I guess with 120 minute that makes sense!

I said a while back in the TG forum that Pseudo Sue 4 packs are the best value beer for what you get, and I still stand by that. For about 2.25 a pint, you get a world class beer...

If were just looking for pure value, I normally can grab 18 packs of 16oz can of SN pale for 18.39 on sale. You cant beat that.

Anything $10 or under for a six pack is what I deem to be well priced. This includes most of the offerings from Bell's, Sierra Nevada, etc., which is usually what I buy.

Around here, Buoy Helles Lager or a pFriem Mexican Lager are what we call our "first beer" then SN or Oscar Blues Pale Ales. Our go-to IPA are Georgetown Lucille, Fremont Interurban for an IPA. Dark beers are Dechutes Black Butte porter or SN Porter. All are good values.
