Troegs, for the quality and price is a great value for me. Buy it all the time.

I have been splitting most of my time between Los Angeles and New Orleans in the last few years. The core beers from Sierra Nevada - Pale Ale and Hazy Little Thing seem to be the most common finds - are always a good economical option in both locations. In CA, Firestone Walker Union Jack, DBA, and Nitro Merlin are high quality beers at a decent price. In New Orleans, Parish Envie (pale ale) and Great Raft Reasonably Corrupt (dark lager) are great options. I also used to love Southern Prohibition Jack the Sipper (an ESB) but they stopped brewing it :-(

mixed 12packs of Paulaner for 12.99 are nice.
Sierra Nevada cases for 24.99 are always nice to split up.
Ale Asylum in Madison, WI has been doing 6 dollar sixpacks to-go at the brewery during Covid.

In Wisconsin there are lots of good beer deals. It makes going back to MD and paying 12 or 15 a sixpack pretty painful.

For any given style, Avoid your locals and/or 16oz can formats for regions/national/international and I guarantee you reduce your craft beer budget from 20-50%. Don’t even need to go into specific beers to be honest. But I understand spending extra in these times to help out your local business. I have been to some degree.

Yeah I haven’t been to Wisconsin but have been to Ohio and loved the lower pricing compared to Maryland. Midwest is the best for cost + quality beer combo.

The Waldos'. If there's a better value in craft beer, I don't want to know about it.

That was my first thought when I saw this thread. Living in beer hell I don't have access to most of the beers I read about here. If I lived where Boulevard was available I could probably spend my whole life just drinking Boulevard and Sierra Nevada(with a few German pilsners and Trappists occasionally)

I spend most of my time drinking local craft beers, often beers I've never had before.
    But value wise?
    Any thing from SN.
    Any thing from Cigar City
    Any thing from Oskar Blues
All of these can be found in my area for about $10 a sixer on sale in the grocery store.
If, I'm drinking just to be drinking like at a cookout? Negra Modela is cheap, pretty tasty and the lower ABV makes all day drinking more doable.

Not sure, but I have access to $6 four-packs of Köstritzer Schwarzbier.

There's certainly better values available but when quality is considered, it's hard to beat.

Used to be able to get a sixer of Smuttynose Robust Porter for $7.99 but I think it's $10 now. Still a great value though.

I can usually find Sierra Nevada Torpedo 12 packs for about 12 bucks on sale. I'm not really sure how you can beat that. Except that during SIP friends have been dropping off tons of beer for me. So I guess whatever they're bringing me for free beats Torpedo. Now if I can just figure out how to keep that happening once shit opens up I'll be set.

You can't go wrong with a 12-pack of Sierra Nevada pale ale - it is frequently on sale at my local Publix down here in Florida.

I'll get Old Style or Hamm's every now and then, but if I'm going for a straight-up low price option, it's usually Trader Joe's Josephsbrau lineup. $6-7 per six pack and they're brewed by Gordon Biersch. Certainly not going to set the world on fire, but decent examples of some styles. I enjoy the Hefe, PLZNR, Heller Bock, and Spring Prost, but the others have been meh at best. I've paid more than twice as much for local versions of these that are much worse. Good price, solidly enjoyable drink, that's the definition of value in my book.

The local NJ gas stations have six packs of 16oz cans of German and Polish beer for $5-$7 each (and no tax in NH). Can't think of the brands right now, but they aren't the usual suspects.
