Just had to go out into the teeth of a pretty nasty storm because my trash cans were blowing down the street. After a change into dry clothes, I'm coming back to my Sofie from Goose Island. It's supposed to be a saison, but I'm getting no real tartness and no funkiness. It's still a good mixed beer. 90% Belgian style ale mixed with 10% Belgian style ale aged in wine barrels with orange peel. The orange is apparent. There's also a yeasty aroma & flavor. Some lemon on the palate and faint pepper in the nose. It's a very refreshing beer.

 

You tasting that trademarked, signature, Snakefruit D96 finish?
Yeah, I love everything they’ve been putting out lately. I got a 4 of this on Sunday, I think I may have to try one later after work.

 

Man every sip makes me want another. Really juicy neipas, I will keep these guys in my fridge for sure. These are WOW ipas for sure cheers

I retired from a job of 32 years yesterday and signed a contract for a new job today. I have a 60 day break ahead. I’ll mostly be exercising safely and preparing for my next station. Cheers!

It's mid-day and I am still working. Don't want to get sleepy. This tastes just about as good most hop-forward session blondes out there but this one has less than 1/2% abv and all organic to boot!

Good afternoon, BAs! What a week it has been in Philly. I live close to Center City so have had a first-hand view of the chaos unfolding.

Thankfully it has been quiet so far today. Downloaded a police scan app to keep apprised of any possible looting in my area. I’m happy for the intel, but it’s also a reality check hearing about guns, looting, and assorted acts of violence just blocks from where I live. Honestly scared to go out, and thankful I am able to work from home, and have the means to get groceries (and beer) delivered.

Wanted to start with something really nice today. This fits the bill. And is from a Bill. Thanks @Orca_Whale !

Productive morning getting outside stuff done before the predicted week long rains roll in from the Gulf. Just returned from Publix with some freshies - Guayabera:



I put a roast in the croc pot this morning, so I’ll probably drink some beers and cruise on auto pilot this afternoon. Cheers y’all!
