What's your favourite "drinking time"?

I generally wait until later in the evening. Day-drinking is rare for me and when it does happen, it's generally when I'm having a meal somewhere.

Unless it's something I've had a bunch of times before and know pretty well, I'm weird and sit in a dark room with few distractions writing notes on what I'm having.

 

Wherever, whenever.

I work several jobs, and they're all on different schedules. Ain't much difference between 4am and 4pm to me.

 

Depends on a lot of things. Watching afternoon football games half time. At the track around the 3rd race. ect. Otherwise mid afternoon.

 

Pre-dinner beer always taste the best to me. I don’t like to get sauces anymore.

 

5pm , work is usually done, time to relax

 

Ditto 5pm.

 

In the evenings after dinner usually. I prefer to get the kids to bed first

 

Pre-dinner beer is where it’s at for me too, especially in the warmer months. There’s something so damn satisfying about sipping a few beers and cooking outside. Working all day from home in the present situation, it’s one the few ways to really unwind.

 

For beer, it's usually morning or early afternoon. I try to reserve evenings for a wee dram of Scotch or Bourbon, or the occasional painstakingly-handcrafted cocktail.

 

I don't drink every day. Sometimes I'll take weeks and months off. Days I DO drink beer, I don't have any specific "time". As long as I know I'm not driving. It also helps that I'm retried, 61 years old, and still healthy as long as I hit the gym and eat well.

Any time of the day works for me.

 

I said pre dinner beers taste the best, but I generally don’t like drinking the first 4-5 hrs after waking up (that is time to hydrate and caffeinate to maximize productivity and I like to stop drinking about 1 hr before bed so I am well flushed out and can sleep uninterrupted. That is my range, but I never session that whole duration of time. I’m 1-3 beer max a day kinda guy.

 

Really, any time.

But, drinking at a marina. Preferably after fishing successfully.



Didn't fish that day...but the first marina beer I had since the covipocolypse, pure magic... where land meets water.

 

Now a days for me, it's about 2p-7p. Noon if i'm hitting up a brewery

 

After work around 5PM. But on weekends, I may start at 4PM. I even tried 3PM, but it feels weird for some reason.

 

6:00 pm typically. By the time I get home from work and finish walking the dog it’s 6:00 drink time.
Occasional day drinking if hitting a brewery on a weekend.

 

On a day off, could be noon, could be 5pm. I’m with OP on this one. I like starting a little earlier so that I’ll be done earlier. Leaves me time to have the buzz wear off so I can get a decent nights sleep and feel sharp in the morning. I’m all about them daydrinks.

 

I never drink before my wife gets home from work. She has a 45 mile drive through wildlife infested hills from the school she works at so the chances of a collision with deer, elk, javelina or bears is pretty high and if I need to go rescue her I can't be smelling like beer. So around 6 pm I'll pour myself my first beer.

 

Always start around 4 or 5pm on the three days a week we do drink. Will hang out with friends (or just me and the girlfriend) and kick back a few pints at home. Then eat dinner after at about 8, then usually take the dog for his walk before going to bed.

Dont drink the other four days of the week, just Wed/Sat/Sun and usually skip a Saturday here and there.
