Morning BA's hope you have a great day! My state is covered in green on the radar and appears to be the norm for the next few days. Off work early, we had more than enough support their today. Home doing laundry and mopping floors, wife works until 10:00. Into The Dark Roast from my local Infinite brewing. Cheers mates!

finished up my shift, and cracked open a Lady Elaine Fairchild by Menace Brewing. It's a collab with North Fork, and it's a Sahti. Haven't had many Sahti's so it makes reviewing a bit trickier, but I like the beer.

@JamFuel, why did your friends from a few kilometers north of you in In Flames re-record this classic song to make it sound worse?

If @LeperJim hadn't retired the theme, this would also be Duvel Day.

Did someone say "in two weeks" and maybe mention a "theme" day?? Well, that reminds me of something...

Duvel might be a good choice for the island, and for me Alewerks BBP would be in the running, depending on the criteria in use. Despite what the flyer says, I hear the criteria are sort up to me.

Given we had no power for practically all of the daylight hours, I was actually able to get from page one to the end of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. It was an enjoyable read for the day, but might be a little too short for prolonged exile.

As with all such days on WBAYDN, you don't need to follow the theme on Saturday, June 20th, but we'd love to have your participation. Cheers, all!

Up with another from Menace, 2 Roofs. A "traditional" IPA that carries a lot of the frooty flavors of the more modern IPAs. Also, a portion of funds go to support victims of domestic violence.

Probably going to start up House Flipper or Planet Coaster right now. I really like casual simulation games right now, a lot.

Founders Blushing Monk. Amazing as always. Aromas and flavors of big juicy/tart/tangy red raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, raisin, red grape, plum, pear, red apple, pepper, candi sugar, and toasted bread; with some herbal hops and yeast earthiness. Touch of banana/clove. Balanced fruit tartness and peppery yeast spice on the finish against malt sweetness. Medium carbonation/body, and fairly crisp finishing. Some bready/grainy creaminess, fruit tannins, and lightly slick/syrupy in the mouthfeel. Good dryness from fruit acidity and yeast spice; never too sweet. Very drinkable, minimal warming 9.2%. This shows great balance of Belgian yeast character, without just being a straight over the top fruit beer. Love Rubaeus too, this is basically just the imperial Belgian version. One of my favorite fruit beers of all time. I wouldn’t mind Cerise coming back either. Super jammy. Still have plenty left. Need to review the new Grapefruit Mas Agave soon, I have a lot of the regular right now.

Good morning, BAs. Home from working overnight. Glorious morning in New York metro. Yes, it's basically a shandy, but it really hits the spot for morning brunch.

Happy Saturday advocates. Starting with some Evil Twin NYC Do You Like Coco Or Nut?
Brewed with coconut & toasted coconut. Heavy aromas of chocolate, caramel, & roasted malts. Robust notes of sweet, toasted coconut. Another banger from these guys cheers

My New Beers Resolution was to drink at least one Orval per month. Today is Junes day, with a bottle that was bottled 4/25/2019. This beer is sooooo good!
