Second time on this thread today. Oh, oh! Too many beers! Drinking Collective Arts Surround Sound DIPA. They have done seven iterations of this beer, with the one I am drinking done with Azacca, Amarillo and Comet hops. Collective Arts is equivalent to Bellwoods in quality, but gets the nod for best overall in Ontario due to price and availability. Music seems to be a thing on this thread, so I am listening to This Is The Sea by The Waterboys. One of the best albums of the 80’s.

Interesting that they are in he ultra light game, I'll look for one. From NB "This is probably the most technically challenging beer I have ever brewed,” said Cody Reif, Research and Development Brewer at New Belgium."

Nice! I have glassware for that, but haven't actually had the beer itself in years.

By God, I'm going to remember the effing music this time.

I pulled my cabbage of the grill.

Cabbage turned out OK. I'm a little surprised it still tastes bitter. I guess I'd add more brown sugar and/or bourbon next time. Or maybe a sweeter stout. I think I'll go for a can of that Dark Star next, though...

And I'm on to another can of Fremont's Day Flying Coconut IPA. Tasty, vaguely tropical, relaxing.

This makes for a rather intriguing, unique beer, that combines dominant tart and fruity elements rather well with subtle roasted, chocolate accents, a distinct, tannic oak presence, subtle funk and just a hint of bitter hops. Kind of a cross between a Flanders Red and Porter, I guess. Excellent stuff.

Neither have I. I’ve been digging through my cellar lately (bunch of boxes in a corner of my garage) and pulled this one out yesterday. I have one more 2012 and a few 2013s, not sure if anything later. I was just relieved to hear a pffft! when I popped the cork, I was afraid it might have dried out. It’s tasting delicious.

It’s funny to think, I bought this bottle the year we moved across town when my daughter was in kindergarten. Now she’s about to start 8th grade. How time flies.
