Lovely! Wonder what blended "from" 3 years means. A blend of three different vintages from different years?

"But I don't wanna be a pirate!" (Seinfeld, puffy shirt episode). I would, however, love to tipple a Piraat or three. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m really glad this thread exists. It’s so satisfying. Remember that god awful “boss-pour”/“Iceman pour” fad?

I revisited some beers from Van Steenberge in the winter and Piraat stood out the most. Zero fireworks but a great balance, and exactly what I´d go for on a cold, rainy day.

Might have been more of an Instagram thing. Anyone familiar with dontdrinkbeer is probably familiar with iceman pours/bosspours. Similar niche of the internet.

    lol
All right. I'm still clueless. Not worried about it, though. I could Google it, but i think I'll enjoy my blissful ignorance instead.

I am drinking this beauty right now, which happens to be much better than the ratings here suggest in my opinion. The remaining foam web actually solidifies in the walls of the glass, if you leave it alone all night long. You might even cook with it.

no beer or human deserves a boss pour, let’s just leave it at that. :joy: Cheers!

It's the opposite of a foam pour.

If you're going to see the bottom of that bottle tonight, it is a good night in more ways than one.
    Excellent beer!

Just had the last drop. There’s a lot of critical reviews on this one, but I absolutely love it. The yeasts’ esters are so unique, having a sweet, bright floral side, and makes it wildly drinkable as well as one to mull over. I almost like it more than St. Bernardus yeast (which pains me to say). Im definitely picking up a 4pk next time, and maybe a 4pk of the quad as well. Super impressed!

Wild ales usually throw a decent head.
