Have a good Monday. I had a nice afternoon sleep yesterday, then had a late dinner at my friends apt at 11PM. I had to drive him to get his car wheel/tire fixed. After that I went to sleep all night again and it was refreshing. Will likely play Age of Empires 2 today, I just got it yesterday. Also some simulation games.

Mikkeller SD Read The Room. Excellent NEDIPA. Lasting rocky head retention/thick foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big pineapple, tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker toasted bread malts; and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; balanced bready/grainy malts and sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing resin dryness; no lingering hop astringency. Very smooth, not overly aggressive, minimal warming 7.9% or lingering hop burn after the finish. Awesome Sultana(formerly Denali) hop profile. Very vibrant, juicy, dank, and earthy hops; with a great clean wheat/oat/malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. No complaints! They certainly have done many better NEIPAs in the past, but this still is well made.

Yep. Same beer, same position, same work hours today. ORB Black Denim Jacket.
I've come to the conclusion that while ORB has their rep made by IPAs/DIPAs, that I like everything ELSE they brew better. It's odd, especially for someone who loves IPAs of all sorts.

I have been slacking on my workouts lately, but got back on it this beautiful morning. Here Kitty Kitty is my reward. Cheers all and will check back later.

 

Omnipollo Double Moa. Awesome sour. Solid head retention/minimal lacing. Aromas and flavors of big sour/tart/tangy lemons, lime, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, hay, straw, and grass; with moderate cream, wheat, white bread dough malts; light pepper/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tart/sourness, and fruit tang on the finish. Medium carbonation, light-medium body, and fairly crisp finishing; balanced creamy/grainy wheat/lactose, lactic acid, and fruit tang in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing acidic/tangy dryness; minimal pucker. Pretty refreshing, not overly lactic, minimal warming 6%. Awesome balance of juicy lemons and lacto complexity; with a nice clean lactose, and pale/wheat malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. Very impressive. 4.1

The sun is out and the humidity is stifling. Another indoors kinda day...have a magnificent Monday y’all!

 

Cervecera Hércules Calmécac. Fantastic imperial stout. Lasting rocky head retention/thick foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, molasses, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, mezcal, agave, oak, wood/peat smoke, char, leather, tobacco, roasted nuts, toast, dark bread/crust, licorice, molasses, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal, grassy, roast, charred bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and very full body; very creamy/silky/velvety/bready malts; light slickness, sticky, chalky, tannins in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness; no cloying/acrid/astringency. Very smooth/soft; mild increasing warmth of 14%, with minimal lingering barrel booziness after the finish. Fantastic balance of super rich malts, and mezcal barrel presence/integration; solid earthy hops and restrained fruity yeast. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. Definitely a good amount of peaty smoke from the mezcal barrels, but not overwhelming. Really big fan! 4.23

Clearing out the work cooler of old beer. Port City Porter dated 12/12/18, refrigerated the whole time. Not bad. All the rest of the stuff in there is going to be an uphill struggle, but I'll make due.
