On the instagrams, someone asked if the Smells Like Beerfest ticket holders would get first crack at BA ISLBS. They won’t, but I guess Mike is looking into doing something for those people? Interesting!

also, I picked up “you’ve said it all,” and I don’t know why this beer exists, but they did really get the Kringle vibe down well.

 

They should embrace the absurdity of some of their beers and make this their official slogan!

 

Central Waters did it. At least they made it a BB stout. I actually want to try the CW one. Kringle is life.

 

I had to Google Kringle. I had no idea what you guys were talking about. But now I want dessert.

 

Next time you are in WI you should find one. I've also seen them at Aldi and Sam's Club on occasion. My personal fav is almond, but there's lots of fillings.

 

Not that it wouldn't be appropriate for desert but I've always found it served as a breakfast food.

The CW Kringle beer achieves what it's going for but certainly isn't something I'd want to buy more of. I love that CW is doing new (and WI focused) stuff with their barrel aged beers but wouldn't mind them being a bit less creative. Given how sweet the CW kringle beer is I can't even imagine how sweet one made by Mikerphone would be.

 

Got in right away and got my 2 bottle of BA. Didn’t want hazelnut.

 

Got to my cart 3 times, by the time I entered my info most of which was auto-populating it sold out.

So it's the Side Project method of quickest to check-out and not quickest to cart?

 

Yes I had a full cart all 3 attempts, obviously different pickup days. Quickly entered my CC and soon as I hit submit it would empty my cart and notify me the items were sold out.

 

I already had my account created and payment option saved so it was one click once in cart

 

Bad timing to have lost power and have shitty phone service. oh well

 

same though Hazel sold out for the same day so I had to separately purchase Hazel for later in the weekend.

 

Same here, I got my 2 Regular and 1 Hazelnut. Really wishing they had stuck with the 12oz bottles though. With quarantine, there's really nobody for me to share with, and while solo doming a 15.5% stout sounds fun, I'm certain I'll regret it. Time to get one of those wine vacuum sealers, I think.

 

Mikerphone’s biggest release of the year, and we didn’t even get one full page of “this release system is garbage?” Man, the scene is tired tonight.

 

Zuckerberg had the winning bid for the exclusive rights to host those this year

 

Anyone know if they plan to have either on tap at all this week?

 

On the BA Release page it says "They will both be available on draft for patio service next Friday-Sunday."

 

We can't have both... we can't have the "all collabs are good with mikerphone because the other brewery makes it better" and then "mikerphone destroys every beer it touches".

You guys are obsessed with hating this brewery it's hilarious. I'm guessing people will love the beer and everyone here will start saying "wow, side project must have made it alone"

 

They probably got sick of people whining about the cost per bottle not understanding that they were paying less than what they would be for a bomber.
