I feel like the carrot keeps moving juuuuuuuuust outside of my reach...

 

Yeah, something seems to be messed up. I've accrued 370 points already here in 2020 and 669 in 2019.

 

But it's not like they are getting the beer for free. I spent a lot of money to make sure I got skip the line since I knew I would have a 3 month old baby around this time. This is probably going to result in my just not being able to spend any money at rev since I'm not sure I can make it to wait in line for 3 hours.

I'll try to hold judgement til after they respond to my email. I'm hoping they bring some clarity to this.

If they say there was supposed to be an IPA release between this that would have counted as that "next" release, then so be it. I probably wouldn't have made it out to the city for that. If this was always the "next" release they were talking about, then I'm peeved.

 

This. @585...Thought with the next release I'd blast past 700 and achievement unlocked. But... now everything is screwy with covid-19 rules and regulations.

I'm really hoping that enough people asking them about this will change their minds. I get that this pandemic stuff has screwed their plans up, but it's not a good look to push sales like they did with me then move the goal posts the day before the next release.

 

Well it moves every time. Basically makes people keep coming in between releases (or at a minimum, come to the release and buy max). Next release will probably be 1200, which sucks, because there's just no way I'm spending 500 between now and then.

 

Didn't get email either after getting fight club for the last deep woods release, guessing this has to do with points from 2018 falling off and/or minimum points needed increased. I mean I have pretty much bought the max allotment at every DW release for the past 2 years, guess that isn't enough?!

 

This. I’m also confused why people are freaking out a bit. The email was just for presale. I imagine there will be plenty available for general public, we just don’t know how the release will go.

 

First time I didn't get an email. Have 1,019, less 281 (2018) = 738 Points 2019-2020.

I just received an email back:

"You're indeed a member in good standing, just a bit below the point cutoff for today's email. That threshold changes for each release to account for the limited amount of DWS beer we have available.

The good news is we're sending out more pre-order emails to Rev Rewards members tomorrow - a full day before the beer goes on sale to the general public.

Sounds like there are two levels? This is my first time even being over (i think) the threshold so I'm not sure if this is how it normally works. We'll see if I get one tomorrow.

 

I'm only being a bit pissy about it because they told me if you spend more money you get skip the line next time. Based on their email, it sounds like that could still happen so we will see.

No doubt if I go and get in line that I will get some, it's just I'm not sure with my new job and having a kid that can't go into daycare right now that I can spend 5 hours of my day driving to the city and waiting in line.

 

I'd be shocked if there's a line - I'd guess public online ordering on Friday

 

Mine has always said this. No idea why.

Having a kid the day lockdowns started has skewed all my perspectives. I don't go outside for the most part because of the kid... I tend to forget nobody else is doing anything.

 

They announced on FB that pre-orders will be live on their site on Friday for pickup the following weekend. Pickup is curbside only.

 

Also, limit 3 four packs and proxies are allowed.

 

Has anyone seen anywhere what time Friday pre-orders will be live?
