I love trying something new and it seems I’ve hit my limit to what’s available at my local stores. Do you feel it’s time to move on from IPAs and be creative? I love a good red, brown, tripel, etc.

I think its time to move on from your local stores.

If you are looking for something new, and are limiting yourself to IPAs, you've answered your own question.

If you've tried everything at your local stores, then as @sixertogo says, it's time to find a new store. I put my two main stores in only a 'moderate' size category for the amount of SKUs on the shelves, and I couldn't keep up with the new stuff that arrives weekly in many different styles, so I gave up.

Ohio is one of the top beer states in the country, and you can't possibly be that far away from a decent-sized metro area with a lot of good bottle shops. Start with the Ohio Places Directory and map out some stores and breweries to visit. Happy hunting!

If you've been limiting yourself to IPAs, there's a lot of other styles out there. Right now, there's somewhat of a Lager renaissance going on, try some of the different styles of those.

Don't know if many folks would want to take such drastic measures  ... but, yeah, if I want "something new" all I've got to do usually is just show up at one of my local stores the next week - seems like there's a constant supply of "something new".

(Now, yeah, sometimes the remnants of a first shipment sit around for too long but there's always a empty shelf spot to fill and new beer or new brewery to occupy it).

What part of Ohio do you live in? I agree with that @dcotom said, you can't be all that far away from a town/city with good breweries and good bottle shops.

Check out the Beer Styles page on this website, there are well over one hundred listed. Find a style you’ve never tried and then find a beer of that style.

Many folks recommend going on to discover all the other many, many great styles. I am going to recommend strongly against doing this.

I love many, many styles of beer with a passion. I love pretty much all 100+ of them, I do, it's such a great pleasure to explore and experience these treats. I fear if you go on to try other beer styles you also may fall into a life doomed to the great enjoyment I've been cursed to endure. You've been warned..
