[IMG] A cool crisp late Spring morning and this arrived in NH for the first time yesterday. Someone broke one the 4 pack cans, so the boss asked if I wanted one. Ah, yes please. Cheers all.

Good morning advocates. Yesterday was a beautiful day in NYC and hoping for the same today. Starting with a brewery that has really impressed me this year Timber Ales The Pugs And The Pit. Imperial Stout brewed in collaboration with Moksa Brewing Company. This was stout was aged on Ugandan vanilla beans and cocoa nibs. Thick chocolate milkshake with the vanilla perfectly blended in. Really looking forward to the barrel aged version of this Cheers and enjoy what's in your glass today. You deserve it

Short walk with the dogs this morning as it is all rain, thunder and lightning, which is especially unnerving to the puppy...drying off with some coffee - “Underground Mountain Brown”:

I walk into my office and a small patch of the carpet is wet, wtf?, then a drop lands on my head, uh ohh:open_mouth:! Yep, I have a small roof leak; looks like the leak inside is directly below the crease where two roof angles meet...yeesh, I need a beer...have a safe (and dry) Saturday y’all!

Don’t feel like doing much today. Long week at work so I hit the cellar and cracked a 2014 Founders Imperial Stout. Jesus this aged well. I am taking small sips and just staring at the glass hoping it never gets empty. Have a great weekend everyone. Cheers!

I have quite a list of things to accomplish around my house today. It is going to be sunny all day. I will pace myself, while hydrating appropriately, as I enjoy drinking a plethora of delicious beers!

Good day BAS! Thanks, @SawDog505, for starting us off today. It's allegedly going to be cool and sunny here today, so I'm looking forward to mixing lawn, garden, and garage chores, after I watch "Have Gun, Will Travel" for an hour. Today's New Breakfast Beer:

Pretty nice stout with a good hit of coconut (4.07).

Good morning, WBAYDN crew. My partner has told me that I was to bore enthrall you today with the details for NEXT Saturday's theme event which comes at the culmination of 400 weeks of WBAYDN threads:

Pretty simple and wide open. Ideally, you post one or more of your all time favorite beers (that you are drinking at the time) with one or more of your all time favorite books (that you don't necessarily have to be reading at the time). Do it multiple times to form your lists, or add your list to your post. Maybe be nice and give a brief comment about why you chose the beer/book.

Of course, you could show/mention the book you are reading now (à la traditional BeerAdvocates, Booknotes, and Beer) and indicate if it's likely to make the trip. Or you could add some twist to your lists - e.g. maybe your list of deserted island beers that are available year-round or top five non-fiction books. It's mostly up to you.

Your participation is requested but not required. We're hoping all can have a little fun learning about and discussing each other's choices. If you've been following along with our shameless plugs, you might understand why I could choose this book:

The beer shown might make the list of top three beers to enjoy while watching the sun rise on the east side of the deserted island

Cheers, and expect to see more about this all week from @LeperJim and me.

Morning chores done...82° and still raining, but the roof leak stopped about an hour ago...curious...it’s not my birthday but I’m thinning the herd, sipping on this delicious barrel aged imperial stout with coffee - Prairie’s “BA Birthday Bomb”:

Bottled 5/31/19. Lux full body w/o feeling gooey or adjuncty, notwithstanding the fact that this sipper is loaded with adjuncts - Coffee, Cacao Nibs, Vanilla Bean, Chili Peppers, Caramel Sauce and Toffee! ...plenty of warmth from 14.7 % abv ...

Grey, rainy, hot tropical SWFL forecast for today...until the boss gets out of bed, I’m going to stay inside where it is (for me) a chilly 70° and drink stouts - Cheers!

I could see KBS in my/anyone’s top 5 island choices for a stout!

On a side note, my planned Northern VA trip just canceled last night (our friends’ July flights to/from Europe were canceled by the airline) so you and I will have to meet up/drink Abraxas at a later date when I’m in town...Cheers brother!

Oh well, hopefully one day. Maybe next time @VABA (and/or any other NoVa/DC BAs, of course) can join us for drinks. We can choose the worthy ones to share in the Abraxas if too many show up

We’ve got a break in the thunder storms here, so Jr. Z took off on his bike for some exercise...rather than a stout, I’ve opted for my “Doubledown Lockdown Double IPA”, bottled 5/20/20:

At 11.28%, I overshot my mark and this DIPA is technically a triple IPA...with another 10 days of bottle aging since my last tasting, I have a better carbonated, mellower beer ... still need to work on my recipe, dial back the abv, and enhance bitterness vs. sweetness...brew-on BAs!
