Trade Value Thread (2020)

I can't speak to the shifting trade value of Gabe but I split a bottle with some friends the other night and it's one of the best beers I've ever had. I can't imagine trading my bottle even after seeing some very strong offers on here.

 

Nice. There's a lot of bottle to bottle variation in all things barrel aged. Not trying to knock on the beer. Believe me I'd give entirely way too much to try it I'm just a fan of beer and an outside observer. I know by many many failed attempts how hard it is to land side project stouts.

 

I’ve heard the same regarding what ppl’s expectations were before opening For Gabe and how they felt afterward. There’s plenty of overwhelmingly positive reviews and a few negatives. IMO, I can never tell if the negative reviews are to drive down the perceived secondary in an attempt to acquire more, or if the positive reviews are to drive up in the same fashion. This is especially true on FB; and I always question when someone (or a group) offers up such resounding positive or negative feedback unsolicited. I guess the long and short of what I’ve read about For Gabe is don’t go into it expecting a big SP BA stout. It’s much closer to their BA BWs, which probably disappointed those that offered up less than satisfactory reviews.

 

is deGarde Coex Purple even with Mornin’ Delight b6 (I think, whatever the most recent 750ml release was)

Also, what about deGarde The Floue Floue for DDG or Casey Leaner? Small + for DDG? Even with Leaner?

Just a point of clarification, I don’t think these have ever been 750s (25.4 oz) on the MD. Always 22 oz (650 ml).

 

Do the Horus single barrel bourbon picks carry much trade weight? Looking for big stouts or barley bobs. There is a Smoke Wagon and Taconic Distillery about to release. Thanks.

 

What's Weller Full Proof going for? I'll be looking for things like Pulling Nails 11, Hill Farm, Sara, Floodland...

I recently traded a non SP WFP + The Flou Flou b2 for 2x HoG b3 + 2 crystal ships (HM saison)

 

Not really my lane so I’m not up on the values but would Weller SR land any of the bigger Wakefield stouts (BA big poppa, figure the bakes are out of range)?

I really don't think IWAAD or Label us is so far off. I've had IWAAD and it's great. Traders are going ape sh** for bourbon these days. Bakes are really really hard to pull. Never had one but I do appreciate j wakefields operations so I'm sure they are amazing

What would it take to land Cantillon D’Aunis (B1/2015-2016)? I think it was event only? Wife and I had a 2017 at our wedding. Have a good grasp of the value of the more recent ones, but not this batch.

 

Does Weller SR have much value over cost? It's not in the vault in ABC in Florida, you just have to show up at the right time(s) of the month at the store to buy it. Bake is super out of range, that would be more WLW range. The BA big poppas this year don't have too much value but there are some issues with the carbonation on them

 

if it's 1:1 with maman you'd be halfway there. Maman is about half the value of bet. Hypermash is about half of the value of maman

Haven’t seen any verified trades closed for BA $ticker $hock. Is it going 1:1 with Assassin 20 or would Assassin side need to add?
