Yup, ambassador only but they will have bottles available for anyone for on-site consumption only when the taproom opens.

I find it funny that Shaun wanted to keep memberships local so locals could get their hands on it and now Instead of drinking it multiples members are trading or razzling it. Really keeping it local there...

Side Project used to be militant about tracking these people down and removing them from future releases. It seems like too much effort to constantly be doing but would be nice for sure.

They said from the get go that trading is cool. They just don’t want people selling them. The problem is that is that the bottles just get sold through proxies - there really isn’t much P3 or other breweries can do about that.

I will admit to having agreed to trade one of my Eunoia already - it’s within their parameters and gives me a chance at another beer I wouldn’t normally get.

I understand trading and I think that’s fair in allowing that but if you are going to allow it then why not allow proxies for the membership. The people who trade for it want it and instead of supporting the brewery your trading or paying out the nose for it from a member who instead of drinking it is trading for something else.

How do you ensure that the people who are now members because proxies are allowed are any more likely to drink it themselves than just be razzling / trading it away?

I get where you’re coming from that even if they allowed proxies then the members using them could razzle or trade too. I’m just saying I wish the membership had been open to a greater number of people and wasn’t just targeted towards locals. I’ve been a big fan of Shaun since he was at Ram. It sucks that since I’m not local I don’t have an opportunity to go for this other than having to buy from a member or trade.

Memberships went like hot cakes regardless. He wanted a majority of his beer to be consumed by people in the community that has supported him along the way I guess.

Certainly sucks for people in you situation but most people not from the area wanting to try these beers are not long time supporters like you are.

How the hell do you agree on a trade of something no one knows how to pronounce?

Allowing proxies would encourage selling. Thus not allowing them must outweigh the factor of "getting it into a greater number of hands" when they're not making enough to satisfy demand anyways. Seems like you're focusing on your specific situation (you want the beer and wouldn't flip it), but you probably aren't the norm.

They want the membership to be kept relatively local. And specifically want to prohibit selling, but not trading. And they want to do so without spending a lot of company resources on it since it's a brewery not a tracing service.

80/20 rule. I wouldn't cite a handful of razzles as evidence it's a useless effort, I'd cite the fact that there are only a handful of razzles as evidence the plan may have its desired effect.

You don't have to spend any resources on tracking people who are selling the beer. Just institute a policy that anyone who provides proof that a current Ambassador is selling their beer gets the opportunity to buy the seller's Ambassador membership at cost.

There, done. Next, I'll start working on world peace and the coronavirus vaccine.

Both new Nectars are great and the plum/pomegranate is my favorite of the 4 so far

Great... You made me buy a pack. Was hesitant as I wasn't real sure how that combo would intertwine despite liking both fruits. To my surprise, it was still available in the store and already going there for the blood orange anyways...

    Shut up...Take my MONEY!

Linear Gradient - Amarillo, Citra, and Motueka Oat DIPA
Phase One - American Pale Ale brewed with Centennial and Cascade (perhaps an ode to RAM brew?)

Love the sound of Phase One...

Next up we have a beer that we brewed with nostalgia in mind and takes us to a place when beer was a little simpler and straight forward. Phase One is an American Pale Ale brewed with Centennial and Cascade. A lower ABV keeps it extremely drinkable. Notes of yellow fruit loops and subtle pine shine through with a firm bitterness to cleanse the palate.

I have not, but I've found rolling the box around on its side first really releases that tigers blood profile in the vermilion-hibiscus colored loops
