I like White Oak a shard better than Jai Alai. Bravo!
a) An arrogant bastard like smokey body, darker, more bronze, with a creamy lasting and lacing head.
s) As noted wood, vanilla, coconut rise as the first layers, the wood continues and is supported by citrus, pine, malt.
t) Loses the shortbread cookie sweet of the original in favor of smokey, woody, oaky power.
f) Perfect, the wood and hop resins linger quite well. Well made.
o) Sum greater than the parts and so a higher yet score here.

54th review. Finest 4% IPA of all, should taste against Carton Boat and all the best.
a) starts with a rocky steep crusty head that lasts and laces over a hazed golden body.
s) Nose is floral, citrus blossom rather than flesh. Ample, inviting.
t) The taste runs floral, perfumed, blossomy, but tempers mid palate to white cake, wood and peppercorn. Lovely balance.
f) Plenty going on in the bittering and bright fin

33rd review and I'm not a mason. If you live by the sea, this beer is for you.
a) Lovely berry body color, fast face scant head as with most fruit/field beers.
s) Solid Flanders aroma, with perfume, orchard, the sea on the background.
t) best part. follows aroma, but develops wine-like, flowers, field, berry notes against an almost pickle sour, salty, yeasty backdrop.
f) Wine-like, tongue prickle, refreshing, summery, sea air. 2 beers in one.
o) I find the sum better than its parts or the reviews here. Will be great blended (again) with any ale or IPA. Try that!

31st review. Always a favorite. If any brewer can get this Mex-inspired Lager right, it's Stone, and then do!
If I had to drive this all summer afternoon, and today is the first day of summer, and father's day, I would.
a) Pale yellow body with white skin head that laces dots.
t) Shifts from floral into spicy, prickly, cactii flesh, aloe, and lemongrass. Lemon pepper in the finale.
f) Perfect lager, pilsner profile.
o) Sum greater than the parts. Great Corona replacement.

Have a good Sunday/ Had a good 10-11 hour sleep last night. Need to get some groceries and stuff today.

Bell's Two Hearted. Fantastic as always. Aromas and flavors of huge ruby red grapefruit, mandarin orange, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, honeydew melon, citrus peel/zest, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate honey, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, light caramel/nutty malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation, medium-plus body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced creamy/bready/grainy malts, sticky hops, and light resin/rinds in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing lingering bitter dryness, no cloying/astringent. Very smooth/soft, not aggressive, minimal warming 7%. Amazing Centennial showcase as expected. Very juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a nice sized balancing bready Vienna/pale malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. Spot on Midwest style IPA. Prefer the Founders Centennial more, but love both. Just as impressive as the Double as well.

To be honest I like your posts more now that I have a face to put behind them. You remind me of one of my best friends that moved back home to Berea, Ohio from Seattle.

 

Revisiting an old favorite. Smells incredibly sweet and smoky. Taste is more of a traditional weizen...banana and cloves. Not really much smoke in the taste, but a great beer nonetheless. Hey! Happy Father’s Day to all the BA fathers at the virtual bar, Prost!!

Today has been absolutely perfect so far! It is 72 degrees and sunny. I have come in 2nd place about 77 times so far on Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, with my son coming in 1st place each time. I have watched an entire season each of True and Octonauts with my daughter. My dog appeared in egg-form, and is currently relaxing outside. My dad, Pastor Dean, performed a quality sermon for his congregation in the Milwaukee, WI, area, that I was able to view online. It is still morning, and it is the longest day of the year!
