Random hidden gem - the Bull & Bush's Vienna Lager. My wife ordered it and said "this tastes like Bamberg." I tried it and feel that description is spot on. No clue about it tasting like whatever a real Vienna lager is supposed to taste like, but it tasted like Fässla Lagerbier to both of us. We ended up having 3 of 'em. If you're looking for something that tastes old-world legit, I highly recommend it. On the other side of the coin...Nappy Nap Time...whew...that one is not for me. It's like whiskey and Ricola cough drops.

I don’t hear much about Maxline around here, but they always have a solid, diverse lineup of offerings though they aren’t exactly chasing trends... I love their taproom and the folks that run it are just great people.

All that said, they’ve recently started canning and distributing though I’m not sure how widespread their footprint is.

Last night, my buddy brought over a 6er of their new dry-hopped Pilsner. I’m not sure if its Italian or what, @Domingo , but it is incredibly tasty and well balanced. I’d highly recommend giving it a shot if you guys see it in your area!

I've heard of Maxline, but I don't think I've ever had anything from them. Feels like most of the smaller FoCo breweries don't make it down here. Either that or I just haven't noticed 'em. Will start paying more attention, though.
I refuse to ever call anything an Italian Pilsner with a straight face. Well, except maybe Moretti, Peroni, Rossini, etc. You know, the pilsners that you can actually buy in Italy.

Dammit to all of you! Now I have to go out and buy all of these and do some "tastings"

Had this beer last week and it certainly didn't disappoint. Highly recommended, big body, slightly sweet, and nails the flavor profile I expect from a Maibock. Get some!

    Edit: Elevation My Neck Maibock

Yeah, those cans are ugly. Not too sure about the Sterling, Cascade, and Citra hop profile either.

But... But... it's a true pilsner brewed with pilsner malt.

This beer smells Italian, if I know anything about that type of Pilsner

One of these days someone is going to add oregano or san marzano tomatoes to a pilsner, just you wait.

    Wiley Roots, where you at?

I actually forgot all about that stuff. Never did get to try it. I've had Crazy Ed's Cave Creek Chili, Dixie White Chocolate Moose, and B to the E so I feel kinda sad that this one has evaded me.

I have had that one. Not as awful as I thought. WW does adjuncts about as well as anyone ever has (sometimes at the expense of "tasting like beer"), so it shouldn't be a shock.

I think I'm mainly just looking for someone to take on the ridiculous concept of calling their Tipo (or Pivo) clones an "Italian Pilsner" or "Italian-style Pilsner." It's basically no different than someone in Cancun making a one-off herbal pilsner only to have Americans suddenly calling their clones "Mexican-style lager." Those things already exist and they outnumber the oddball 100/1.

If you guys see Half Acre Fader Lager around town, I highly recommend it. I am not much of a fan of their Pony Pilsner so I was a little hesitant, but damn they hit this one out of the park. The hops are restrained but present, malt is clean and flavorful, it pours a foamy white head that holds beautifully. Repeat purchase for me.

Never had any of their lagers, but I trust Half Acre's flavor profiles. I still consider Daisy Cutter to be one of the best pale ales of all time. If it was from any other city it would probably be widely recognized as such. Unfortunately that scene acts like everything is the greatest ever, so people overlook the stuff that really is bomb AF.

So, I can put a san marzano tomato in a beer, call it Italian, but that tomato is from S. America (Peru methinks). So it would be a Peruvian Inspired Italian Style Trans South-North Atlantic Imperial Pilsner. (TRADEMARK)

Not a CO, but a NM contribution: diggin the Zuzax from Cumbre - great clean flavors, a damn good light Kolsch, and really impressive. 4.8% - i'll drink it all evening.

Related to La Cumbre, their adjunct lager ("Beer") is still one of the best examples of that style you're going to find anywhere. I know quite a few people who have said that if you added 10-15% more hops to Banquet you would have something magic. LC's "Beer" kinda sorta is that.
