Outstanding golden yellow body, bright and clear; lively carbonation; immensely dense and creamy white head. A beautiful aroma to the beer; biscuit and cracker infused with fruity esters and a subtle herbal spiciness. An incredible mellow sweetness; bread crust; suggestions of mint and white pepper; pine resin; mellow hop bitterness. Medium-heavy body; mildly sticky on the palate; gently sweet., softly warm.

What an incredible double IPA! The beer exemplifies balance, depth, and complexity, emphasizing the malt and hops above all. There is minimal alcohol presence in the taste. An absolutely superb DIPA!!

I have been falling back into my love/hate routine with IPAs so I decided that I needed to swing back towards my first (main?) love, Lagers, and reset my palate a bit. Plus with the heat lately a nice one will always hit the spot. And the added bonus with me is that unlike IPAs a bad Lager I can still finish and for the most part will still enjoy enough vs a bad IPA for my palate I will either have to choke it down or dump it. So...

Being in PA I am pretty spoiled because we have access to a ton of great Lagers but I wanted to drink some that I haven't had yet. Queue Von Trapp Brewing, a discussion popped up in a regional thread and I figured now is the time that I need to get around to trying their stuff. I found that they are around me but not as plentiful as some of the other breweries but the good news is that it still wasn't too difficult to find what I was looking for: their variety pack with the Dunkel, Vienna, Helles and Pilsner. First off, mad props for putting out an all Lager variety pack, sure don't see those as much these days unfortunately. I am drinking my first one from the pack now, the Dunkel. 5.7%, 22 IBU, BB 10/06/20 (and for reference the pack of cans were packaged on 05/15/20). In one word: excellent! Smooth, roasty notes, a little chocolate in there...very balanced and extremely drinkable. If the rest of the beers are of this quality I am going to be one happy camper

Perfect Storm, a Citra/Simcoe pairing from Tree House. Hits all the right notes, very quaffable. So, having lived in Boston for a time, the code translates to 'Storm's coming, Kid,' right? Just asking.

At this point, do feel a bit like I have been hit with the "Giant Wave" (8% ABV after all). An object lesson, perhaps: Stay Safe, Be Well, and Chee-ehs.

Pale gold body; lively carbonation; thick and sculpted white head. Bright, light, and herbal aroma; soft sweetness. Very clean flavor; subdued and alluring cereal grain base; gently toasted grain; light mineral taste; nice hop bitterness crescendo building midway through the sip and past the finish. Light body; crisp; smooth with a gentle warmth; soft dryness throughout.

There is nothing like a well-crafted pilsner. This beer offers the experience and delivers it.

    Canned 6.1, opened 6.23

    Can poured into a teku

Two finger rich dense creamy white foam cap, very good retention , settles to a big creamy island , some lacings , over hazy orange liquid

    Smells like orange citrus

    Taste of orange citrus hops

Low sudsing , no hop bite,

    Good beer
