CANBIF: From the Cellar, 2020!

Hey hey... disconnected for the weekend so a touch late to post on preferences

To my sender... my untappd profile is here.
My preference lies towards beers I have not had before, then strong and bold dark beers, adjuncts welcome, and sours. Though being from the cellar, really anything that's 'good' of which I've not had will be most welcomed.

 

Sending both of my packages out today. Made sure both of you are having new beers, at least new vintages to you.

 

Putting together a box today that's headed out east, what to choose, what to choose.

 

I'm lucky enough to see Bellwoods on the shelves here in Alberta and have had my fair share but both of my targets have tried far more offerings from them then I have..........

 

35-ish < 235-ish. I’m in the running!

Hint:

My target, west of Ontario, hasn’t posted yet. However, he/she is a participant in a recent CANBIF and I’m building a box with his/her comments there in mind.

To my sender, my preferences are pretty wide open. I very much enjoy saisons, stouts, mixed fermentation, lambics... pretty much everything with the one caveat that I am not big on barleywines (yet). Thanks!


To my first target, I did not realize that where you live is part of Canada! Glad to see another fan of diabeetus!

For my second, I can't say I am a fan of cognac, but to each their own! Did you live in BC at some point!?

 

I have some good news to both of my targets. You will need to be at home tomorrow... You will have to check if you see a brown truck in your area.. it's maybe for you.

For my first target, I didn't hear anything from you until now. It's a good thing, I will try to impress you with the cellar thing. You're address is with a french name and I'm french... yes! Btw you'r untappd profile is so beautiful

For my second target, it's not the first thing we are sending something each other and you are pretty active on Facebook for the past few months. You seems to be living in a big house or maybe it's juste the Town name.

I am realizing that it is possible that my box will arrive at my new address that I provided before I am there (30 June). If you are my sender and have sent me a box and see that it is arriving before 30 June, maybe contact @Electros so he can notify me?? Please and thank you! Sorry in advance.

Second hint: my target is in a province that borders two other provinces, and also the Hudson Bay-- it is also home to a brewery whose original (and sister brewery) was in my province (NS), which recently shut down permanently (sad!). This original brewery was founded in 1985, and bears (bore) the same name as the one in my target's province. It has shared space for the past year and a half with a small brewery that I work for in my spare time. Think igneous...

 

And.... might your target be a 20 minute or so walk from said brewery?

 

Dear target. I’ve started pulling beers for your box. My plans have been somewhat foiled by both your dislikes and a recent lambic you’ve imbibed, although you do indicate a further ‘need’ for the latter. We shall see.

Some hints as to whom my target may be...

1. You have posted you're preferences in this thread, and I'm hoping that you enjoy the chosen spread.
2. I don't think I've ever imbibed in a proper craft beverage brewed in your home province.
3. My current city of residence was once home to a minor league affiliate (and 2000/2001 league champion!) for one of your local sports teams.
