Any thoughts on whether Side Project will continue with the proxy option, in some form or another, whenever we start to recover from this pandemic (I'm aware that we're nowhere near even seeing the finishing line)?

I get both points of view, for and against proxy, but I'm curious how people think Side Project will approach the option in that 'recovered' stage. They're probably happy at the moment to be able to move as much product as they need, to keep staffing and business operating as 'normal' as possible, but will that need be there once facilities open for on-site/taproom business?

Proxy/no proxy option doesn't affect me much (I'm at Side Project once a month!), but I'm curious if some of the already 'tough' releases from the past that didn't even have proxy options (like BBT) will become virtually impossible once their release is on the docket, and proxy option is still there. And, how much would the two Side Project taprooms have for on-site patrons if they continued to sell via proxy to whomever, wherever?

From all the various streams/interviews Cory’s done it sure seems like they’re wanting to go back to in person line up releases. He mentioned that the beers there’s a ton of (fuzzy etc) might still be online, but all limited things will be back to lines.

I’ve also thought about how BBT will possibly work this year since it’s extremely doubtful things will be back to normal.

seems very unlikely things will be back to normal (will they ever be??) but could still have a “BBT week” for pickups only. if proxies are allowed that is going to make that online sale a total shit show, which it already kind of is anyways.

i think we can forget about the cellar anniversary and the brewery anniversary though which sucks. those are great days.

that was a pretty negative post! sorry, hope everyone has a great Friday! drink some SP.

i had a La Ruche b3 last night after finishing up some yard work and once again, no acidity or sourness to really speak of. light funk and honey. really tasty.

Based on some comments I've seen online I think they're still holding some bottles back for eventual on-site. I assume it's a lower total quantity than they had in the past, but that's pure speculation. The great on-site bottle list is a huge draw so it makes sense they'd still hang on to some beer for whenever they can re-open.

According to Shared IG they have a BA imperial stout with one adjunct moving from the barrels to the bottling tanks - BA Coco Vibes b2?

It just says one adjunct treatment, not adjunct.

This is either BA Morning Vibes or BA Coco b2.

    Or BA Iced Coffee Vibes.

If bottling today, are we still months out for a release?

For an adjunct BA stout, it could be 2 weeks or 2 months. They probably need to do some testing and also get labels.

I think it was during that four hour IG video that Cory said the QC period for Coconut Vibes was pretty long because coconut has a higher risk of infection for some reason.
