CANBIF: From the Cellar, 2020!

Hey target. I want to send you at least one bottle of lambic. You have rated some quite highly. If you’d like a bottle of Tilquin that you haven’t yet rated on the app you use to rate beers, please like this post! You’ve had several, and as luck would have it, I just happen to have a case of one you haven’t yet rated.

Hint: my target has had a lot of beer from a small state, famous for beer that is a lot closer to my address than it is to his/hers.

 

I got my mail!!! Very excite! But I'm also crazy busy at the moment, so I don't have time to snap a pic or divulge the contents...stay tuned. Thanks Electros!!!

 

To my target, a full box just got dropped off at the post office for its 4400km+ trip across Canada. I won't say whether or not the 15 year old can of Miller High Life made it or not, but I will say I had room for one more can so I threw a Triple IPA in there that has been cellared for about two weeks (haha), otherwise lots of big stouts and such based on your preferences.

Average vintage is around 2014, average ABV is well above 10%, highest is 16.1%. It's a box fit for a Poo-Bah I think!

I recently had the Pinot Gris Tilquin and it rules hard. More than the Pinot Noir, imho. He's one of my top 2 fav Lambic producers

 

Ya. I think that is the consensus. Sadly, I don’t have a case of either of those two.

I haven't shipped yet, but my target seems like a pretty cool guy. Posted about his recipient long before he posted his preferences. I'll make sure he's happy.

 

What's better than beer? Beer *and* chocolate! Thanks Electros! Three of the six maple minis were gone before I finished unboxing the beer! Speaking of which- I'm excited to try all of these, as other than the Boulevard I don't think I've ever tried anything from the other 5 breweries at all (I haven't had that particular Blvd beer either).

PS: These BIF's need to have an official chocolate requirement!

To my target: you’re getting a beer from Torque. It doesn’t say it’s barrel aged. But it is. It’s just because I grabbed one before they had the labels in order. The gold wax is barrel aged and the red is the regular. Both are amazing. But you got the gold.

 

To my first target your untappd is all over the map!

To my second target you are definitely not a slave to checking the boxes on a board!

To both of you, I am down to selecting the last beer. If you would prefer a BA barley wine to a BA stout like this post!
