More details needed on the tote. Random vintage tote? Fresh 2020 edition? Standard FFF one? Virtual tote? Jewel plastic bag? Asking the important questions.

Sounds like it's only 2019 and earlier DL / DL Variants

 

I'm a new to the Dark Lord game. What is everyone's favorite Dark Lord Variants? What should I be hoping for in my 4 pack?

 

Tier 1- Handjee
Tier 2- Chemtrailmix
Tier 3- Rarri, Bourbon and Rye
Tier 4- any wine barrel/tequila barrel bullshit
Tier 5- spent grains from the brewing process
Tier 6- a literal bottle of urine
Tier 7- Turtledogg and Earl of Biggleswade

 

I've never tried either, but I think I would like them. I'm a pretty big fan of Islay scotch, especially Lagavulin and Ardbeg. I expect scotch barrel DL variants would be pretty intense and need to be sipped very slowly, but I'd love to try one.

 

First you should hope you even get one. I'd guess that they have very little and they will be gone instantly.

 

Were you a fan of GI Islay? I enjoyed that in a small amount, but I loved Dia much more. Islay was way more in your face, whereas Dia balanced out the base more. I basically drank half the bottle as others weren’t fans. I can understand why it’s decisive though.

 

But make sure they take proper precautions. In this day and age I find it reassuring when they use hand santizer before giving you the handjee. Who knows how many they gave out before you!

 

I didn't try it, unfortunately. I was supposed to split a 4-pack with someone, but the other guy ended up never getting it. I should have just bought some for myself when I had the chance.

 

Can't wait to try the Pence variant of DL. Imperial stout with decaf coffee aged on torn up copies of 1984 and brewed with insane amounts of hypocrisy and copious amounts of doublespeak.

 

Don’t forget the dry hopping of discrimination.

So....the variants that actually would have been released...this year... aren't actually a part of this though?

Their Instagram comments implied they're not ready yet. "Still in the works."

 

Which answers the question of whether Dark Lord 2020 will be sold this year. The present question is when and how.

 

They have always been specific that this release was vintage bottles and variants. So we shouldn’t have a expected 2020 batch yet. But based on their comments, there still may be a release this year. My guess is, this is a warm up to see how the release works, then I’m the fall have the 2020 release in a similar fashion.

But who knows, this is speculation.
