As someone already mentioned, they open later on Mondays. When they are open, you just order and then show up anytime that day after the time in your confirmation email. There's usually only a line of four or five people. Usually...

They have been moving tons of beer recently, especially considering kegs are practically nonexistent. The brewcafe beers brewed by "Jean himself" have really increased demand. When I showed up on a Saturday afternoon to pick up a lone brewcafe four pack (1 pp) I already ordered, I had to wait in line outside for 30 mins. Just for a prepaid pick up. Had I not already paid for the beer, I probably would have just turned around and went home.

Also, Dudley Direct at $7 for Philly-area delivery and no formal tip option is extremely popular, convenient, and a safe way to get their beers. The bottle minimum per order is only 2 bottles.

One thing that shocked me was how fast the recent Little Log Cabin beer sold out. May's release, Smile Smile Smile, kind of sucked. It tasted like it had too much lactose in it, and lactose wasn't even a listed ingredient. Then June's release sold out in less than an hour.

Finally, it is still the same old story: IPAs and pastry stouts sell out super fast, but their delicious saisons sit for weeks. I think all the anniversary bottles except HandFarm are still available.

I'm in South Jersey so can't do DD.

What's parking/pickup like at St Oners? You gotta call when you show up or do they have a pickup window &c?

I'd order today but they're out of Alien Church :slight_frown:

Parking is street, not always easy though if there's no line I Park in yellow for a grand total minute if things line up and I'm the only person. You walk to door with your order number and pick up. No call ahead. I think they ask a half hour to make order up. So long as you can parallel park you're good basically.

Thanks for sharing. This is why I haven’t gone to St. oner’s yet despite living only 15 minutes away. It always takes me like 20 minutes to find parking in Fishtown; I just drive over to Ardmore instead.

I don't know what time you're going but I don't think of Ardmore as being much easier to park in than that part of Fishtown. If it's not prime time restaurant hours it's not bad.

Usually weekends around opening. I’ve never had a problem in Ardmore the 8 or 9 times I’ve visited (both the brew cafe and ferm).

Whenever I go to Frankford Hall or Barcade I seem to always have a nightmare of a time (usually end up having park in that horrendously overpriced lot near the El). Like you said, it’s probably just when I’m going to Fishtown because it’s usually around dinner time those nights.

Yeah, if it's weekends in the summer around opening, give it a shot, that is by far the easiest time to park in any residential neighborhood.

Park at the apartments across the stress from the Brew cafe. There’s public spaces there, I literally have zero issues parking in Ardmore

I too am in SJ. Did a pickup at St Oners today. Parking isn't easy, but go with a friend or loved one and they can roll around the block while you get the beers, the process takes less than a minute.

New canned saison is delicious. Dry, slightly tart, very refreshing. I'm getting lots of Ourison vibes, perhaps a little lighter and fizzier. Wish I would have had this one when grilling yesterday. Loving this canned saison option.

Yeah they skipped last year but they normally do it maybe yearly? (See: lawsuit).
Not sure how collaborative it really is, more generally and specifically given COVID. But the version I had maybe 2 yr ago was a quality pale ale.

Had delivered the Alien Church canned 6/23/2020. Not sure if they threw galaxy in this batch but i am getting the resinous flavor i usually taste from galaxy hopped beer. As always, it's a great tasting beer!

Is anyone having trouble accessing the site to order cans on a phone, specifically an Iphone 8+ ? When the toastlab site opens i get this error msg "Preflight response is not successful". I have tried with Safari and Chrome. I have no problem on my computer with Firefox.

No. I ordered yesterday from my phone with no issues (had the HF collab in my cart and then hemmed and hawed for 15 min or so because of the weather and went back and it was gone). First time driving down there and man did I pick a horrible day to do it. Probably added an hour total to the drive due to weather and accident delays both ways. BUT... was still worth it - the saison is amazing, both lagers tasty, Punge, Alien Church and Hop Hands (I’ve had the last 2 before) all hoppy goodness. Wish I’d gotten some crowlers and bottles. Next time.

Yeah man, that was some crazy weather on Friday. I think I hydroplaned like 10 times on the way home from work lol.

You said it’s your first visit down...does that mean you never got to gorge on delicious house made bread and pickles at the brew café? if no, then add it to your list of “things to do once covid-19 ends”. I didn’t think bread, butter, salt and some pickles could be a culinary experience but yeah, it’s just that. not to mention the candied bacon; and the beer of course.

god damn I miss the café.:frowning2:

There's a parking garage half a block from the café and a block from the ferm. Free after 6, not sure about weekends.

Just wanted to say, DDH Alien Church is absolutely absurd (Three Smile Mask is no slouch either)

And yes, I’m well aware my patio needs a good power washing.
