    2020 Westbrook Mexican Cake. Pretty damn good, props to Westbrook for really balancing out the peppers and cinnamon flavor, it's all to easy to have something with this amount of adjuncts come out a mess.

    As I’m off work all week, I’m able to crack a beer a couple of hours earlier than normal. I felt like something refreshing as a first beer of the day, and this Jack’s Abby Pilsner is getting it done!

    Domestic drinking with an international flair. Baltimore Harbor is, of course, the location of Fort McHenry, the bombardment of which inspired Francis Scott Key to write the Star-Spangled banner. Given that it's Guinness, though, I had another anthem in mind (at least for now):

    I'm kicking back with a Pony Pilsner from Half Acre. It's a looker, fluffy head with very good retention and very good lacing. Beer is light yellow/gold in color and is somewhat hazy. Aromas & flavors of lemon, grain, bread dough and cracker. I rated it a 4.11, which is a big chunk above its BA average of 3.77.

    I've gone on record saying that I don't like Triple IPAs, but there are always exceptions to that rule. Tombstone is one of them, and Nelson is another. FWIW, the best Triple IPA that I've ever had was brewed by Tombstone, so there's that. Cheers!!!

    Dragon's Milk is OK, but ... what if I told you that coffee vanilla Dragon's Milk is sublime?

    @tasterschoice62 yes, I've still got tons of that coffee syrup around! I find it hard to find uses for it, honestly, but when I do, it's always delicious. :grinning: :grinning: :grinning:

    New Rauchbier I just tapped! Smoked 50% of the grist over Oak and Hickory. Basically an unfiltered Bamberg Style Helles Rauchbier. Sorry, already drank half by the time I took the picture! So delicious.

    Nicest weather of the week, which of course ended up being the day that I had to jump on a bunch of work calls (another re-org....corporate America....gotta love it!). It's all good though. Time to sit back and enjoy a couple beers and listen to Canadian artists in celebration of Canada Day. Cheers all!
