I think it would be foolish for Bottle Logic to not include a variant named FOVID.

I had FO2020 Friday night. Both the wife and I thought it had some quite a bit of heat on it for a Bottle Logic beer. Got better as it warmed up. Vanilla was faint and lots chocolate.
Outside arrangements in the patio are great. 90 minutes of drinking at the table, the staff are quite good, and you need to order at least one meal. There was a little line to get in but, it went pretty quick.

Completely agree. More heat, less vanilla with more bitter chocolate profile. Unsure if I will be picking up bottles since I have a few bottles of MT vanilla/MP vanilla which I favor over this years FO.

Going to echo everything said above. I think FO2020 is more complex, but that means it is less of a vanilla bomb than in the past so might appeal to less people. In terms of comparing to past years, I think this one is Barrel > Cocoa > Vanilla.

Interesting, I ventured to Bottle Logic today to try FO and was pretty blown away by how much Vanilla I got -- and little to no heat whatsoever? The nose was particularly a vanilla bomb. I thought the barrel was pretty subdued as well. I think people are going to be big fans of this year's batch. But clearly different strokes for different folks.

And also definitely want to give kudos for BL creating what felt like a super safe and responsible drinking situation. I got there at noon (first person in!) and I'd say it was never more than 60% full while I was there. Only one table near me was occupied. At first I was a little worried about the "must order an entree" but the wedge salad turned out to be 6$ and was actually tasty. I fully expected to have to pay somewhere in the 15$ range for an entree to enjoy a beer. They seemed super on top of their shit. All the tables had an umbrella, and with a nice breeze it was actually very pleasant drinking outside today - probably one of the most enjoyable drinking at BL experiences I've ever had as a matter of fact. I personally didn't think I was ready to drink on-site anywhere but their set up and attention to detail impressed me to the point that I would absolutely repeat the experience.

Also had a glass of Time Destination and I must say, I've to this point shrugged off BL's haze game but that beer was a banger of a representation of that style. Seems they're really putting in the effort to improve in that area and the results are paying off.

I have high hopes for this year‘s batch. My wife and I bought a lot of last year’s batch and every bottle we’ve opened has been off.

Kind of like a bubblegum/Dr. Pepper type quality. Hard to describe, but it just doesn’t taste like FO to me. I have bottles of every batch and this is distinctly different.

Just cracked an FO 2019 earlier today, it drank so well, I took down the whole bottle alone. :flushed:

For me, a completely different beer in comparison to previous batches. It’s not a bad beer, just not FO that I remember.

It’s highly irregular for me, especially on a Sunday with work tomorrow.
