Had 7 on the list, which for the most part includes the usual suspects. I'm surprised Bourbon County Barleywine didn't make the list, it's the best Barleywine in NA for my money.

Click-bait in it's finest form (list spread across multiple pages)... However, if anyone wanted to bring some of those over to share, I'm not gonna complain... Actually a few of those would make me down right ecstatic...

An interesting list but not very diversified among styles, which is where current taste resides I suppose. Twenty one of the forty are stouts and there isn’t a Tripel or Quad on the list. I’m not sure if American brewers are not producing exceptional beers in these styles or if drinkers are just more interested in other things. I’ve had nine of these, which probably isn’t bad considering distribution in Ontario, where I live.

    Had half of these beers

All are good beers , nothing that I hate or object to for being on a best of list

legit. Somebody got paid to just write a list of beers that had high ratings on this website (or beers they really like or beers from breweries they worship).

I've had 13 of that list, not bad for being European, I guess. I'm up for a Top 40 European Beers list, I guess, although I have a feeling that Belgium, Germany and the UK will feature rather heavily on that list...

    Weird mix of beers.

You've got the stalwarts from the BA (8 of the top 10 alone)
Random session beers that are brand new
Bunch of very hard to get beers that are brewery only / club only / haven't been made in years, which the author doesn't even acknowledge.

I'd bet my life that this "writer" hasn't tasted more than 15 of these beers IRL. Lazy.

The real crowning jewel for me is the inclusion of multiple variants of speedway and bourbon county. This slacker could really only come up with 38 beers for their top 40 list. Boy, 24/7 wall street has really lowered it's standards...

That’s right. Just because we are Mods doesn’t mean we are « the best » europeans to make that list.

Maybe having been promoted mods gave us an unpleasant ego boost

Whoa, that's a pretty egregious error if you ask me. Never mind the lack of diversity in the list, that's almost to be expected these days. But to straight up misidentify the state of one of the breweries? A lazy click-bait cash grab is exactly what this is. Lame

Thank you, I've had 14 of those beers, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale should be on this list but I guess it's to easy to get.

Viewed by an American abroad, it seems appropriate if most are IPAs and stouts (and the more pastry/imperial the better) since that is what "we" do most/best.

We (all BAs) should, but it would be a lot harder to get all Europe to agree on a list than the US — yikes, a better chance to turn the EU into a true superstate than to have even a rough consensus on what sort of stuff to represent on such a list!
