Sad but True, the State Fair is COVID-CANCELLED! Dude!

 

Odd Muse, their IPA's continue to impress me.

 

As it stands, ours is too. Oddly though they are allowing drive-thru food service at the fairgrounds? Folks spending five hours in line for $6 corndogs...

 

Just got done mowing before 10 minutes of rain fall. Now it muggy as hell..... Summerfest.

I recommend you retire. Once you get over the first three months of the change in schedule it is great. I was lucky to have retired (actually laid off but with an early retirement severance) years before all this virus stuff so traveled all over without concern.

Casey - Oak Theory (2018)

I cannot recall who sent me this bottle, but I thank you once again. This is an old school bucket list beer of mine, and I decided it was high time to pop her open.

I'm pleasantly surprised by just how delicate and sprightly this is. It's so gentle - gentle acidity, gentle funk, gentle grain, which really allows the more subtle aspects to emerge, like its beautiful lactic minerality, buttery white oak, fresh flower petals, and a hint of melon. It's actually quite lambic-like, although lacking some of that funk and complexity. The effervescence is quite simply superb. Overall, it's a delightful little wild ale - supremely drinkable, and I'm very glad I have the chance to enjoy it.
